Through the Ache, I Rise

A hammer taps behind my eye,
A storm rolls in from brain to sky.
The light, too sharp; the sound, too loud,
My thoughts retreat beneath a cloud.

No peace in silence, nor in shade,
Each pulse a price that must be paid.
Yet still I breathe, endure the rain—
A quiet fight, this dance with pain.

"Unseen Chains"

She wakes before the morning light,
Chasing dreams in silent fight.
Through work and life, she bears the weight,
Of endless tasks and shifting fate.

Her hands are tired, her spirit worn,
By family needs and hearts forlorn.
Still she climbs, with steady pace,
Toward a distant, sacred place.

But in her ear, a whisper lies—
A voice that dims her fire and skies.
A man who claims to love her soul,
Yet anchors hope with tightened hold.

He speaks in dreams that sound so grand,
Yet vanish when she takes a stand.
Unreal truths, he weaves with care,
To keep her doubting what’s out there.

Yet still she walks, though shadows cling,
Her heart a quiet, pulsing wing.
And though the path is steep and wide,
She holds the fire he can't divide.

For one day soon, she'll break his chain,
And rise above the weight and pain.
Success will see her strong and free—
The woman she was born to be.
