Today, we gather together to remember and celebrate our Risen Lord,
Jesus the Christ.

His Resurrection guarantees that:

•Sin is Forgiven
•Satan is Defeated
•Hope is Certain

So as a family of faith,
we once again affirm that in this Journey,
God is with us and that is more than enough.😁

"Dishonest money dwindles away,
but whoever gathers money little by little
makes it grow."
-Proverbs 13:11

As a community of faith,
we are grateful for the blessings that God has entrusted to us.

So we seek to be good stewards of the resources that He has given us, trusting that He can do so much more with what little we have.

When Christ was born, "Joy to the world" was declared by the heavenly hosts to the lowly shepherds. Initially, they were afraid but their fear was replaced with joy as they became the first witnesses to the coming of the Savior.

That same joy the shepherds experienced is what we desire for our community to experience today through Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus is the greatest gift of all and that those who have received this gift will live a life of joyful generosity.

We are thankful that this Christmas, the children in our community had the chance to celebrate together with Jollibee, yet another expression of God's provision for His children.

Jesus said,

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

At Tuburan Baptist Church, we believe wherever the Spirit is, there is Life.

We believe that a God-infused life is a conduit of God's grace, goodness, and generosity - a life empowered by Love.

So, we thank God that as the year ends, we were able to conduct our first medical outreach in our community. By God's grace, this will be the first of many.

We thank God for our ministry partners, DEMIC LAB, Center for Community Transformation, LGU Lambunao, VM Arvin Nonoy Losaria, Brgy. Tuburan Council, The Journey Church, our volunteer doctors, nurses, medtechs, and our joyful TBC volunteers.

And lastly, we look forward to partnering with YOU,
for the good of all and for the glory of God.

Celebrating 120 years of God’s Faithfulness!

For over a century, Tuburan Baptist Church,
by the grace of God, empowerment of the Holy Spirit, and guidance of the Holy Scriptures,
faithfully serves as a beacon of God’s Hope.

As a family of faith:

We praise God for His sustaining grace,

We thank God for our faithful elders who have gone before us,

We celebrate the family of faith that we have today.

As we celebrate our 120th year and as we continue our journey into the 21st century,
“The Great Commission” remains our calling while cultivating a culture of love and grace in our community.

Acknowledging that the “Body of Christ” goes beyond the lines and walls that man has created, we formally extend this invitation to all who are willing to partner and journey with us in “being Jesus” in the here and now;
by feeding the hungry, healing the sick,
clothing the naked, while joyfully teaching God’s Truth through His Written Word; so that the people in Tuburan and the surrounding Baranggays may experience the love and generosity of God and finally realize and accept that
Jesus is our Creator, Savior, and King.

“...I have come that they may have life,
and have it to the full.” -John 10:10

See you this Sunday,

𝐖𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝟏𝟐𝟎 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒! 🌱❤️

“𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐧.” —𝐏𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝟏𝟐𝟕:𝟏

In the quiet hills of Tuburan, where the wind whispers through the trees and the soil remembers the footsteps of missionaries, a story of faith was planted in 1905. Rev. Charles Briggs and Pastor Braulio Manikan, like Paul and Barnabas of old, came bearing the Good News. They did not bring gold or silver, but the Word of Life. From their preaching sprang Tuburan Baptist Church—a beacon of light in a land once shadowed by war and wandering. The Tuburan Private Academy followed, nurturing minds and souls alike. Teachers became preachers, classrooms became sanctuaries, and every lesson was a seed of hope.

But the path of righteousness is never without trial. The church weathered revolutions, Japanese occupation, and the scattering of its flock. Yet as the Apostle Paul declared, “𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝; 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐝, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫” (𝟐 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟒:𝟖).

In 1945, after the war, the faithful gathered once more—not in grandeur, but in Genoveva’s humble home. Her words stirred the embers of revival: ”𝘼𝙗𝙞, 𝙞𝙣𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙝𝙖𝙞 𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙬𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙂𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙤.” And so they built again. Layworkers rose, Sunday School thrived, and Rev. Elias Arandela, like Nehemiah rebuilding Jerusalem’s walls, led with prayer, perseverance, and passion.

From generation to generation, the torch was passed. Through droughts of leadership and storms of uncertainty, the church stood firm. “𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝,” 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟔:𝟗 reminds us, “𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐩 𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐮𝐩.” And reap they did—souls saved, children taught, communities reached. From different outreaches, music and school ministries, to the return of Rev. Albert Mark Arandela Java and the joining of Pastor Kim Giloryao Java, the legacy of Rev. Elias C. Arandela, anchored on the truth of Jesus Christ, lives on. His words echo still: “𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙚 𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙪𝙜𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙨𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙠𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙖 𝙤 𝙬𝙖𝙖𝙮 𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙙 𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙠𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙜 𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮.”

Now, the story is not finished—it is only beginning anew. Tuburan Baptist Church is now celebrating its 120th year of unwavering faith and service. From the seed sown in 1905 to the harvest of souls today, the church stands as a living testimony that “𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧” (𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏:𝟔). In this season of jubilee, the doors are wide open to all who seek to know Christ more deeply and grow in grace. Whether weary or wondering, you are welcome here.

𝙂𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙪𝙜𝙢𝙖 𝙠𝙖, 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙜𝙪𝙜𝙢𝙖 𝙠𝙖—you are loved, so you may become love. Come, be part of this story. Let your life echo through Tuburan’s hills as a verse in God’s eternal story.
