Every post is carefully created and reviewed by our information officers, sometimes with help from our campus journalists, to make sure that correct information reaches the community– similar to how recyclable, biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and even dangerous wastes must be properly sorted. In the same way, information is filtered, refined, and “recycled” into better ideas that guide everyone toward cleaner habits.

In our mission as the trailblazers of 𝑬𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒅 𝑾𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 (𝑬𝑺𝑾𝑴) 𝑪𝒍𝒖𝒃, we honor the endless support of LNHS both offline and online. The school consistently shows its support by sharing our projects and initiatives on the official page, helping more people understand the importance of proper waste management.

They do more than acknowledge our efforts—they help inform and educate. We are grateful for the posters, announcements, and informational videos they publish, especially those that promote cleanliness, sustainability, orderliness, health, and correct waste segregation. These efforts clearly show that the school administration cares and acts for the best interest of the entire community.

𝐄𝐂𝐎 𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒 | This semester, the 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐄𝐒𝐖𝐌) 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐥-𝐥𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 took another meaningful step toward sustainability. Through unity, dedication, and purpose, we turned small eco-friendly actions into lasting impacts. One clean-up, one recycled material, and one informed student at a time.

From Project Trashform, which repurposed over one hundred shrimp buckets into trash and water supply bins, to our official page launch that connects our advocacy with the public, we’ve been building bridges between awareness and action. Every project reminded us that environmental care begins in our own campus corners.

We also strengthened our partnership with teachers, students, and the local community. Through clean-up drives, segregation campaigns, and upcycling efforts, the club showed that environmental stewardship is a habit we nurture together.

As we move into the next semester, we carry the same drive to innovate and inspire. With passion, teamwork, and a heart for nature, the ESWM Club continue to prove that sustainability starts with us.

𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰?

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization and the United Nations, over 1.3 billion tonnes of food are wasted every year. Meanwhile, one in four Filipino families experienced hunger—having nothing to eat at least once in the past three months.

Unfortunately, these numbers are not just statistics for study—they reflect the everyday reality faced by millions of Filipinos and people around the world. Yet, some of our fellow citizens remain silent amid the anomalies in governance and the continued destruction of Mother Earth.

While the rich, greedy, and corrupt indulge in their lavish lifestyles, countless Filipinos struggle and starve to death.

We are not merely failing humanity—we are failing the Earth itself.

In times like these, silence is not neutrality; it is complicity. Choosing not to care is a loud act of apathy. As Miss Earth 2025 approaches, may we be inspired not only by its pageantry but, more importantly, by its advocacy for environmental and social justice. Promote movements in line with UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially, SDGs 3: Zero Hunger, 12: Responsible Production and Consumption, and 13: Climate Action.

In every opportunity we have, let us use our voices and our power to stand up for what is right and necessary.

From old bins to bold beginnings! With100 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐬, Lal-lo National High School now takes a huge leap toward cleaner surroundings, better waste management, and a more sustainable campus. These bins prove that even the simplest things can be given a second life with a greater purpose — because every throw matters!

This project is proudly spearheaded by the 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐄𝐒𝐖𝐌) 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛, 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐜𝐞𝐥 𝐏. 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚, 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫, whose commitment continues to inspire LNHS toward a greener future.

𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐟 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐔𝐬| As part of the 80th founding anniversary celebration of Lal-lo National High School (LNHS), a 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 was conducted on July 22. This green initiative sought to heighten awareness of the crucial role of environmental stewardship while instilling a lasting culture of sustainability among students, teachers, and parents. Beyond its symbolic value, the activity also served a practical purpose-- contributing to the school’s long-term efforts to address recurring flooding concerns by increasing green cover and improving natural water absorption on campus grounds.

The event brought together the entire LNHS community in a unified effort to cultivate a greener and safer environment within and beyond the school walls. With smiles, soil, and shared purpose, participants symbolized a collective step toward environmental responsibility-- proving that 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐭.

“𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥, 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐠-𝐚𝐬𝐚” | On July 22, the spirit of environmental stewardship blossomed across all grade levels of Lal-lo National High School as students united in the 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒍 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒔. Each section, armed with cuttings, soil, and determination, took part in nurturing this symbolic flora known not just for its fragrance, but for its quiet strength—just like the learners who planted them. The event wasn’t just about gardening; it was a celebration of growth, care, and commitment to a greener future.

From the hands of our Grade 7 dreamers to the hearts of our Grade 12 leaders, each Rosal cutting found a new home. As the students dug into the earth, they planted more than just roots—they planted their hopes, their responsibility, and their identity as Green Warriors who protect and preserve the environment. The school grounds were filled with life, laughter, and the scent of purpose, as corners of the campus transformed into small pockets of living beauty.
