A day filled with overflowing gratitude, heartfelt celebration, and triumph offered to God Almighty marked the testimonial program honoring the successful CPALE passers of Ifugao State University–Lagawe Campus.
The University proudly recognized five of its alumnae for passing the October 2025 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examinations. The celebration began with a joyful motorcade from Hingyon to Lagawe, symbolizing not only personal achievement but also the collective pride of the community. Immediately after, the testimonial program formally commenced, bringing together university officials, faculty members, students, parents, and friends in a spirit of thanksgiving and shared victory.
The program opened with the Welcome Remarks delivered by Mam Lennie June Cutiyog, Faculty Member and Adviser of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA). In her message, she warmly welcomed the guests and emphasized that the success of the CPALE passers was a testament to faith, perseverance, and hard work.
Faculty members, led by the Program Chairperson, Ms. Daisy Marie D. Dangayo, CPA, delivered their congratulatory messages and expressed deep gratitude for the perseverance, discipline, and endurance demonstrated by the honorees throughout their academic journey. Mam Madelyn Nay-ud, CPA, a faculty member, likewise extended her heartfelt salutations, expressing pride in the achievements of the new CPAs and encouraging students to remain steadfast in their pursuit of excellence.
The University Vice President for Academic Affairs, who previously served as Dean of the College and as a mentor to the honorees, also conveyed her warm greetings. She reaffirmed her office’s commitment to continuously guiding the BS Accountancy Program through curriculum enhancement and policy streamlining to further strengthen academic excellence. Dr. Vicky K. Cadalig, Campus Executive Director, similarly shared her heartfelt congratulations, expressing pride in the CPALE passers’ remarkable accomplishment.
Adding to the day’s sense of triumph, University President Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon personally conveyed her congratulatory message to the honorees and their parents. She acknowledged the immense dedication, discipline, and sacrifice required to pass the University’s most challenging board examination program. The University President further challenged the faculty to strive for greater heights—not resting on past successes, but continuously working to mold future students and strengthen the program, with the goal of producing more first-time board passers.
The program was further graced by Atty. Jerome Bantiyan, CPA, a former law guest instructor of the honorees, who shared his warm congratulations. He also offered valuable advice to the students in attendance, encouraging them to begin their review early and to cultivate discipline by avoiding procrastination in their studies.
The highlight of the program was the sharing of personal testimonies by the five honorees—Maria Yvonne A. Dumapi, CPA; Feden U. Cumihang, CPA; Eden G. Bulintao, CPA; Raisa L. Timpina, CPA; and Valery D. Godines, CPA. Each recounted an academic journey marked by struggles, disappointments, tears, and ultimately, victory. They expressed heartfelt gratitude to the entire academic community and, most especially, honored the unwavering support, sacrifices, and love of their parents. In a touching moment, Mrs. Godines, a proud parent, conveyed her gratitude through a heartfelt rendition of “If We Hold On Together,” moving the audience to tears.
The program concluded with words of gratitude from the College Dean, Dr. John G. Pagaddut, CPA, followed by lively performances from the BS Accountancy students. In the closing remarks, Sir Manuel highlighted the significance of the milestone, noting the steadily growing number of CPA board passers produced by the University over the years. He ended the program with a prayer, asking for continued guidance and success for the honorees as they embark on their professional journey.
Indeed, as the celebration echoed with faith and gratitude, the words rang true:
“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in Him.”
The Accountancy program extends its sincere appreciation to the PNP-IPPO for leading the motorcade; the IFSU College of Business and Management family for their unwavering support; Ms. Corine Joy Tapo for leading the students in preparing the feast; Ms. Cyrine Fae Pangan and students for the wonderful decorations and site preparation; the GSO personnel for providing transportation assistance; the JPIA–IFSU Chapter for their invaluable help in event preparation; and to all those who, in one way or another, contributed to the success of this meaningful celebration.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
