Mas pinalawak pa ng Nagtipulan Fisherfolk Organization (NFO) mula Lagangilang, Abra ang kanilang hanay ng mga produktong pangisdaan sa paglulunsad ng kanilang bagong Tilapia Hotdog na gawa mula sa sariwang tilapia na inani ng mismong mga kasapi ng samahan.

Bilang benepisyaryo ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources – Special Area for Agricultural Development (BFAR-SAAD) Program Phase 2, patuloy na pinapalakas ng NFO ang kanilang community-based enterprise (CBE) sa pamamagitan ng value-adding at food processing.

Kasunod ng tagumpay ng kanilang signature Tilapia Marinado, ang Tilapia Hotdog ay inilunsad upang magbigay ng mas maraming pagpipilian sa merkado at mas mapalawak ang kita ng samahan.

Ang bagong produktong ito ay resulta ng mga pagsasanay, teknikal na gabay, at suporta ng BFAR-SAAD sa post-harvest processing at product development. Bukod sa masarap at madaling ihanda, ang Tilapia Hotdog ay patunay ng kakayahan ng mga lokal na mangingisda na lumikha ng market-ready products mula sa sariling ani.

This sea of nets filters negativity allowing the good dreams of the fisherfolk to pass through. Taken during the sewing of conditioning cages for the pond-based hatchery of Nagtipulan Fisherfolk Organization. During the activity the fisherfolk showed patience, persistence and a positive attitude despite the struggle of making the cages. They maintain their focus, believe in their ability and enjoy the moment, all hoping that their dreams will come true.
