Behind every โ€œDr.โ€ is a story the public rarely sees, years of pressure, late nights, missed time with loved ones, self-doubt, and the quiet decision to keep going anyway.

Today, the CTE family celebrates not only your achievement, but the journey it took to get here. Finishing a PhD is never easy, and that is what makes this moment meaningful. Your dedication to learning and to the field of education speaks for itself.

May this milestone continue to inspire students and fellow educators to pursue growth, excellence, and purpose beyond titles and recognition.

We are proud of you, Doctors.
Congratulations on this well-deserved success. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š

The College of Teacher Education (CTE) in collaboration with GAD, takes a bold stand for respect and inclusivity!

Earlier today, our future educators gathered at the ASIST Gymnasium for a powerful seminar-orientation: "Building Safe and Inclusive Spaces: Respect Without Borders". As future molders of the youth, we in the CTE recognize that our classroomsโ€”and our societyโ€”must be sanctuaries where every woman and individual feels secure, valued, and empowered.

The program featured deep dives into:

Gender Sensitivity Orientation (GSO): Led by Ms. Donna Joy Valdez, focusing on understanding diverse identities and breaking stereotypes.

Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313): A comprehensive discussion by Atty. Mc Vernon L. Balubal on our legal rights against gender-based sexual harassment in all forms.

Thank you to our brilliant speakers and to the YES Officers who helped in making this event possible. To all the CTE students who joined usโ€”thank you for being the standard-bearers of a campus that says NO to harassment and YES to equality! โœŠโค๏ธ

24/03/2026

The Young Educators Society (YES) warmly invites all students to participate in the seminar titled:

โ€œBuilding Safe and Inclusive Spaces: Respect Without Borders โ€“ Understanding GSO and RA 11313โ€

Date: March 25, 2026
Venue: ASIST Gymnasium, University of Abra โ€“ Main Campus
Time: 7:00 AM โ€“ 12:00 PM

This seminar aims to promote awareness, respect, and inclusivity by discussing Gender Sensitivity Orientation (GSO) and the Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313)โ€”a law that protects individuals from gender-based sexual harassment in public spaces, schools, workplaces, and online environments.

Let us come together in fostering a campus that is safe, respectful, and inclusive for everyone. Your presence and participation matter in building a more informed and compassionate academic community.

All students are encouraged to attend and be seated before 7:45 AM.

See you there!๐Ÿ’™
