Laak Holds 1st Municipal Scout Jamboree to Shape Future Leaders
Laak, Davao de Oro — The spirit of camaraderie, adventure, and leadership flourished during the 1st Laak Municipal Scout Jamboree, held from December 6 to 8, 2024, at the Laak Central Elementary School SPED Center.
Anchored on the theme, “Elevate @ 88: Future-Proofing Scouting for the Next Century and Beyond,” the event gathered scouts and leaders from various schools and organizations across the municipality. The Jamboree aimed to inspire the youth to embrace innovation, resilience, and preparedness in shaping their communities and tackling the challenges of the future.
The three-day event featured activities that tested the participants' skills in survival, teamwork, and problem-solving. Highlights included obstacle courses, pioneering workshops, environmental conservation programs, and campfire presentations that showcased the scouts' talents and creativity.
Municipal and school officials praised the initiative, emphasizing the importance of scouting in molding responsible and proactive citizens. The program also reflected the commitment of the local government, educators, and scouting leaders to provide meaningful opportunities for young people to develop essential life skills.
With its resounding success, the 1st Laak Municipal Scout Jamboree set the stage for a brighter and more dynamic future for the scouting movement in Laak. Participants left the event not only with new friendships but also with renewed enthusiasm for leadership and community service.
