Catalyste+ successfully conducted a Technical Assistance on Strategic Planning with the Clefrazet Coffee Preparation Association held in Sadsadan, Bauko, Mountain Province last May 11–15, 2026, together with Canadian Advisor Shai Altman.

Present during the activity were association representatives Ms. Eden Alindeg, Ms. Francine Alindeg, Mr. Clent Alindeg, Mr. James Sadcoy, and Ms. Joyce Bauding of NC-TIDA Department of Trade and Industry.

The activity focused on strengthening the association’s strategic direction, enhancing organizational sustainability, and supporting the continued growth of the local coffee industry in the community.

Catalyste+ conducted an initial meeting with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and associations in partnership with the Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) of Sudipen, La Union to discuss possible collaboration under the Catalyste+ i-LEAD Project.

The discussion highlighted the i-LEAD Project’s commitment to addressing inclusive governance challenges by strengthening public service delivery, civic participation, gender equality, and the promotion of human rights within governance frameworks. The project aims to enhance transparent, accountable, and gender-responsive governance systems that support women and marginalized sectors, particularly Indigenous communities and farming populations.

Key areas of technical assistance and capacity-building discussed during the meeting include:

🌱 Food security and sustainable agricultural practices

Representatives from MLGU Sudipen also joined the activity, including Ms. Zeny Corpuz, Ms. Marilou Mostoles, and Ms. Michelle Amoyen.

Catalyste+, a Canadian-funded international development organization, recently conducted an initial meeting with the Abra State Institute of Sciences & Technology (ASIST) in Abra to introduce its programs and explore potential areas for collaboration with local leaders and community stakeholders.

Known for mobilizing Canadian volunteer experts, Catalyste+ supports inclusive and sustainable development through capacity-building, technical assistance, and long-term partnerships. During the meeting, the team shared initiatives aligned with community priorities and engaged in meaningful discussions on how their expertise can complement community-led development efforts.

This engagement marks a promising step toward future collaborative initiatives that uphold cultural integrity while supporting local governance, livelihoods, and social development.

An Entry Meeting for Technical Assistance on Organizational Strengthening was successfully held on May 4, 2026 in Data, Sabangan, Mountain Province.

This activity was conducted in partnership with the Deplasan Farm Products Manufacturing Association with support from the Catalyste+ i-LEAD Project.

The session was facilitated by Canadian Adviser Karen Bolton, who will be providing expertise and guidance throughout the engagement.

Also present during the activity were Mr. Leo Corsino, Catalyste+ Project Officer, and representatives from the Deplasan Farm Products Manufacturing Association, Ms. Beatrez Ennangen and Mr. Rick Ennangen.

Through this collaboration, Catalyste+ continues to support local organizations in strengthening their institutional capacity and enhancing sustainable community development.
