π Initial Meeting

Catalyste+ conducted an initial meeting with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and associations in partnership with the Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) of Sudipen, La Union to discuss possible collaboration under the Catalyste+ i-LEAD Project.
The discussion highlighted the i-LEAD Projectβs commitment to addressing inclusive governance challenges by strengthening public service delivery, civic participation, gender equality, and the promotion of human rights within governance frameworks. The project aims to enhance transparent, accountable, and gender-responsive governance systems that support women and marginalized sectors, particularly Indigenous communities and farming populations.
Key areas of technical assistance and capacity-building discussed during the meeting include:
π± Climate-smart agriculture, organic farming, and hydroponics
π± Food security and sustainable agricultural practices
π± Inclusive and participatory governance
π± Environmental management & Climate Change Action Planning
π± Public consultations and citizen engagement
π± Economic development initiatives for Indigenous communities
π± Strengthening CSO participation in democratic processes
π± Inclusive communication strategies for marginalized sectors
π± Digital transformation and good governance practices
Present during the meeting were the Catalyste+ i-LEAD Team headed by Country Representative Mr. Matt Navalta, together with CSO representatives Ms. Erlie Bulfa, Ms. Blanche Nullar, Mr. Robertino Nullar, Mr. Eufresenio Moster, Mr. Marcelino Arzabal, Ms. Manilyn Ket-eng, and Ms. Tita Mostoles. Representatives from MLGU Sudipen also joined the activity, including Ms. Zeny Corpuz, Ms. Marilou Mostoles, and Ms. Michelle Amoyen.
Through strengthened partnerships and collaborative engagement, Catalyste+ continues to support inclusive development, resilient communities, and participatory governance in local communities across the Philippines.
