LAKBAY KASAYSAYAN 2025 | DAY 2
Corregidor Island

The waves came and went, the wind moved freely through old walls, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still.

Corregidor wasn't just a place we visited—it was a place we felt. A day of stories, laughter, reflection, and shared memories made even more special by the people we experienced it with.

🏛️ LAKBAY KASAYSAYAN 2025 | DAY 1 📚
Intramuros X National Library X National Museums

A little late, but memories worth sharing are never out of season.

Our first set of photos from an enriching journey through some of the nation's most important repositories of history and heritage—the National Library of the Philippines, Intramuros, and the National Museums.

More than a field trip, it was an opportunity to connect classroom learning with the stories, places, and artifacts that continue to shape our understanding of the Filipino past. Grateful for the experiences, insights, and memories we shared along the way.

"Standing tall through history, moving forward in liberty.

Today marks 128 years of Philippine independence. True freedom means having the space to grow, the power to speak, and the responsibility to uplift one another. May we always remember the sacrifices of the past as we build a more enlightened future. Happy Independence Day!"

According to DOST-PAGASA, the rainy season has begun. While many are excited for cold mornings, hot coffee, and extra naps, let's not forget that this season also brings slippery roads, flash floods, and thunderstorms.

On International Museum Day, we celebrate museums as living keepers of memory—spaces where history breathes through artifacts, stories, and cultural expressions. In every preserved object lies the identity of a people, revealing the many layers, struggles, traditions, and transformations that shape society. As we walk through these halls of heritage, we are reminded that culture is not singular; it is a mosaic of voices, histories, and experiences woven across time.

History has always been a story of survival.

Just like these recovered photos from the HAKBANG Museum Tour of BS Agribusiness 4 students in Baguio City, the past often reaches us in fragments—some faded, some damaged, some almost forgotten, yet still powerful enough to speak. From a corrupted card came surviving memories, much like how generations before us preserved culture, identity, and heritage through time, loss, and change.

These images are more than photographs; they are rescued pieces of memory...proof that even when parts are lost, history finds a way to endure.

May we continue to protect and value the stories, traditions, and legacies that connect us to who we were, who we are, and who we will become.

They fail because they never started.

Comfort feels safe...........until it becomes a cage.
