In times of hardship, bayanihan reminds us that no one has to face challenges alone. On August 11, 2026, the Dive Into Youth Organization, in collaboration with Akbayan Youth Baguio and Timpuyog Organization, came together to extend our support to communities affected by Typhoons Luis and Maymay.
We were able to visit and distribute donations to three barangays in Baguio City, namely Guisad Surong, San Luis Village, and Dominican Hill-Mirador. Through the generosity of our donors, we were able to provide cookies, water, juice, lugaw, rice meals, school supplies, slippers, and clothing to affected families and individuals.
This initiative was made possible through the dedication of the Dive Into Youth officers and youth volunteers from different organizations who willingly gave their time and effort to make this donation drive possible. From preparing and organizing the donations to personally distributing them to the communities, every helping hand became part of this meaningful effort.
Donation Transparency:
We are grateful to share that a total of ₱4,457.50 in monetary donations was collected for this initiative. The funds were allocated as follows:
₱1,000 – Car gasoline
₱470 – Car rental
₱480 – 24 bottled waters
₱2,507. 50– 100 bottled waters, 120 pieces of juice, and 120 biscuits
Every peso was used to help provide essential needs and make this donation drive possible. To our partner organizations, volunteers, donors, and everyone who became part of this initiative, thank you for helping us turn compassion into action. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, has helped us bring comfort and support to our fellow Baguio residents. Maraming salamat po sa inyong malasakit at pakikiisa!
But our mission does not end here. Dive Into Youth is still accepting in-kind donations and monetary contributions to help us reach more individuals and families who continue to be affected by the typhoons. We will continue this donation drive and extend our support to communities who are still in need.
