In line with the Roadside Beautification and Greenbelt program, the BSU PRESMATHED and ISIPNAYAN took part for the roadside beautification along Gov. Bado Dangwa National Road at Barangay Paykek. This program aims to clean and beautify every roadside of Kapangan through the initiative of the Municipal Tourism office and SK Kapangan headed by Hon. Kimbrell Ramos.

LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET — The annual Mathematics Month celebration reached its crescendo yesterday as students and faculty gathered at the CAS-LT for the Math Week 2026 Closing Program. The event, co-hosted by the iSipnayan Society (IS) and the Preservice Mathematics Educators (PresMathEd) Society, served as the final chapter of a month-long showcase of numerical prowess and community engagement.

The program commenced with an opening prayer led by Rey Mahgit, followed by patriotic tributes and the university hymn. Frances Caye M. Nombre, Chairperson of the iSupnayan Society, delivered the opening remarks, setting a tone of pride and reflection for the attendees.

The afternoon transitioned into a display of wit and humor. Glenn Mar Balanta, Vice Chairperson of the iSipnayan Society, presented the Math Meme Contest entries, while Joven M. Fos-oy assisted participants during the lively Math Pick-Up Line Challenge. Following these presentations, the Chairperson of the iSipnayan Society, provided a summary of the month's activities, highlighting the successful outreach and academic initiatives conducted throughout March.

The highlight of the ceremony was the awarding of certificates and medals, led by the Mathematics Department Chairperson, Dr. Serano L. Oryan. In the premier academic event, the Union Cup 2026: Inter-College Quiz Show, Team Pagod Na emerged as champions. They were followed by Team ∭ dxdydz in second place and the Mathemagicians in third.

The ceremony marks the end of a successful series of events that demonstrated mathematics is not only a foundational science but a vibrant and essential part of student life at Benguet State University.

Giving Pi's: A Mathematical Literacy Outreach Program

A huge shoutout to the PRESMATHED Society and ISIPNAYAN Society of Benguet State University for their incredible act of kindness! On March 26, 2026, these amazing groups brought the gift of knowledge to Gadang Integrated School and Gaswiling Integrated School through their book donation drive.

Every book donated is a door to new worlds, new dreams, and endless possibilities for the students. It’s not just about pages and words, it’s about lighting a spark of curiosity that will last a lifetime.

Thank you for showing that education is a journey we take together, and for making a real difference in the lives of these young learners. Your generosity is truly inspiring!

All Students and Interested Participants
Registration and Limited Slots for Chess and Rubik’s Cube Tournament

The Pre-service Mathematics Educators Society (PresMathEd) is officially opening the registration for our upcoming Chess and Rubik’s Cube Tournament. Please be advised of the following updated guidelines regarding participant capacity and the elimination schedule:

I. PARTICIPATION AND CAPACITY LIMITS
To ensure an organized and well-managed competition, we are strictly limiting the number of participants for the elimination rounds. Slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis:

Chess Division: Limited to the first 40 registrants (20 for females and 20 for males).

Rubik’s Cube Division: Limited to the first 20 registrants.

II. TOURNAMENT MECHANICS
Chess: Matches will be played two (2) boards at a time.

Rubik’s Cube: Elimination will consist of head-to-head matches (2 players).

Each player will be given three (3) rounds per match.

The player with the fastest time advances.

III. SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES
Registration Period: Starts today. Please approach any authorized organization representative to secure your slot.
Elimination Days: Scheduled for this Thursday and Friday.
Logistics: Specific playing times will be announced once the registration list is finalized. and the venue for the matches is at CASAn Quadrangle pls tap any officer from PresMathEd

IV. REGISTRATION PROCESS
If you wish to participate, please tap or coordinate with an officer immediately to register your name before the 20-slot limit per category is reached.
Each player must pay 10 pesos for registration
