In celebration of the ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ค ๐๐๐๐, the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA), in partnership with Batangas State University - The National Engineering University (BatStateU-TNEU), launched the ๐๐ง๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฉ๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง! On August 9, 2026, they officially introduced the pioneering eight-member crew who will embark on this journey. ๐งโ๐
Under the Analog Habitat Waypoint Mission, the crew will experience living and operating in a confined space that mimics terrestrial space habitats for 24-hours. Designed to recreate the challenges of human space missions, the team must rely on their practical knowledge, skills, and resourcefulness to overcome these challenges.
This project is a major leap in the countryโs space industry, marking a major shift from building and launching satellites to preparing Filipinos for outer space. As the countryโs first domestic space crew, they stand at the forefront of human spaceflight research and mission preparation. This initiative goes beyond preparing Filipinos for space; it is actively propelling the country towards a robust space industry.
