We commemorate in the memory of the bravery, sacrifice, and dedication of the Filipino heroes. Millions of Filipinos gather to celebrate and honor brave men and woman who have fought for the country's freedom, independence and well-being of the people.
Nᴀᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ Hᴇʀᴏᴇs’ Dᴀʏ falls under the Republic Act Numbered 3827, which was approved on Oᴄᴛᴏʙᴇʀ 28, 1931. According to the law, the last Sunday of the month of August should be celebrated in honor of the country’s heroes. Later on, however, Republic Act Numbered 9492 moved the observance of the holiday to the first Monday of August.
From the influence of Dr. Jose Rizal's writing to give honor to those soldiers who defended the country. Today, it is not just a holiday but also a reminder for the unparalleled heroism of our heroes for the country. In just a simple actions that we can do to our fellow Filipinos and our Nation, we will carry on the dignity of the freedom our heroes fought for. May this serves as an inspiration for us to be a hero in our own way to serve our Country.
