The Benguet Youth Organization Inc. extends its sincere gratitude to the ATOR of IPs for involving us in their youth livelihood and cultural immersion activity.

Hosted at the cozy Igorot Charms Cafe, the program provided our members the opportunity to practice the art of traditional beadwork using materials provided by the ATOR of IPs. We were also privileged to learn from Ate Wamz, who shared her expertise on the significance of traditional tattooing bridging the gap between ancestral wisdom and the modern youth.

What an incredible day for the Benguet community! 🍓 Today, the Benguet Youth Organization Inc. took to the streets for the Strawberry Festival Civic Parade. As the next generation, we take pride in leading the way and keeping our traditions front and center. We were so proud to represent the youth of our community and to be joined by our local traditional tattoo artist, Ate Wamz 🙌

Giving with purpose. In partnership with the Saint Louis University (SLU) MedBio students, we distributed hygiene kits and school supplies to support an orphanage under Helping Hands, Healing Hearts Ministries in Baguio City. 🤝

This incredible opportunity will allow her to promote our rich culture, heritage, and identity to a global audience through her artistry. Her work has already earned international acclaim, with features in various publications that celebrate the intricate art and profound cultural significance of our traditional tattoos.

In a recent initiative highlighting this commitment, Mister Shawn Andrei Maranes, a fitness and bodybuilding trainer from Herme's fitness Center and a dedicated wellness advocate of the Benguet Youth Organization, conducted a lecture and practical demonstration on resistance training. Held at the BJMP La Trinidad District Jail – Female Dormitory and led by SJO3 Caroline C. Chelnag, this valuable session focused on using resistance training for physical health and a balanced mindset. The program provided a significant and tangible benefit to both personnel and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), underscoring a profound commitment to well-being and community support.

As John F. Kennedy wisely said, "Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity."

𝟐𝟎 𝐉𝐀𝐍𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 I 𝐖𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞

One of our beneficiaries from our Hataw Cordillera Season 2 event is 4-year-old Jimseon Hylle Verances of Mankayan, Benguet. He was diagnosed with Patent Ductus Arteriosus and is currently being treated with digoxin and furosemide. Jimseon will undergo cardiac catheterization for definitive management to correct the heart defect.

In Partnership with the ILoveBengueT Movement, assistance was received by his dad MJ Verances.
