Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006, signed by Malacañang Palace, August 21, 2026, Ninoy Aquino Day, is declared a Special Non-Working Day throughout the Philippines.

This day commemorates the 1983 assassination of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., a pivotal event in Philippine history that strengthened the Filipino people’s call for democracy and freedom and contributed to the historic 1986 People Power Revolution.

May we continue to remember his sacrifice as we uphold the values of democracy, freedom, and patriotism. 🇵🇭

. Pursuant to the directive of Office of the President through Memorandum Circular No. 129 and due to the continuous inclement weather, Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas said that face-to-face classes in all levels, both public and private, are still suspended on Wednesday, August 19.

Schools are encouraged to implement appropriate alternative learning modalities and other learning continuity measures, as may be feasible, to ensure that learning activities continue while face-to-face classes are suspended.

𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗥 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟

Mayor Roderick Awingan suspends face-to-face classes from preschool to Senior High School for both public and private educational institutions on August 17, 2026 (Monday), as the prevailing weather systems continue to bring light to moderate to heavy, and at times intense rains over the municipality, there is a high probability that the same rainfall amount maybe experienced, which may endanger the students.

The Province of Benguet is forecasted to experience continued inclement weather and is expected to receive 50 to 100 mm of rainfall due to Southwest Monsoon today to tomorrow noon (August 17, 2026), which may cause localized flooding and landslide in highly susceptible areas;

The Municipality of La Trinidad recorded a cumulative rainfall amount of 140 mm today, August 16, 2026, from 8:00AM to 7:00PM.

Within that period, specifically from 2:00PM to 3:00PM, the municipality recorded an intense rainfall volume of 50 mm, which subsequently caused flooding across the valley

📌 RESPONSES TO THE UNANSWERED QUESTIONS

Here are the responses from the CPAG Student Government (AY 2025–2026) under the leadership of Mr. Raymundo E. Diwas II:

🏅 Sports: The Sports Fest and University Intramurals are yearly college and university activities. For Sports Fest, the SG provides meals for facilitators and student referees from other colleges, while snacks are provided to CPAG student-athletes during the University Intramurals. Unfortunately, we currently have no external partners for these activities.

👕 Type A Uniform: The SG has already coordinated with the tailor regarding the pending Type A uniforms. We have secured their contact information and are currently communicating with them for updates.

📜 Seminar Certificates: We sincerely apologize for the matter. Students who still wish to claim their certificates may avail of an e-certificate.

The recently concluded State of the College Address, held on August 14, 2026, provided an avenue for the CPAG community to look back on the work and progress of the previous administration.

During the gathering, the CPAG-SG Past Administration presented its Financial Statements for the 2nd Semester and Accomplishment Reports, highlighting the programs, activities, initiatives, and efforts undertaken throughout their term.
