The Commission on Higher Educationโ€“Negros Island Region (CHED-NIR) Monitoring and Evaluation Team visited La Carlota City College today, April 13.

The visitation was conducted to ensure that the college continues to uphold quality assurance in higher education by evaluating institutional compliance with national standards, assessing the readiness of academic programs, and reviewing student services.

The CHED-NIR Monitoring and Evaluation Team was composed of Benrie James Nufable, Supervising Education Program Specialist; Louie Callora, Education Supervisor II; John Rey Olpoc, Education Supervisor II; Noraisa Wee, Education Supervisor II; James Basas, Education Supervisor II; Jose Leonardo Degillo, Education Supervisor II; Patricia Beatrice D. In view of the forecasted high temperatures in the coming months, the Office of the College President has approved a temporary adjustment to the student dress code policy to ensure the comfort and well-being of all students.

๐Ÿ“… Effective: March 9, 2026

โœ… Tuesday to Saturday โ€“ Students are allowed to wear comfortable and lightweight civilian clothing appropriate for school.
โœ… Every Monday โ€“ The prescribed school uniform is still required.

๐Ÿ”Ž Guidelines During the Adjustment Period:
โ€ข Proper decorum in attire must be observed at all times.
โ€ข The following are NOT allowed: spaghetti-strapped tops, sleeveless tops, cropped tops, mini-skirts, shorts, slippers, and flip-flops.
โ€ข Clothing must remain modest and appropriate in accordance with College standards.
โ€ข Wearing of official school ID cards within campus premises remains strictly mandatory at all times.

This temporary measure aims to promote studentsโ€™ health and comfort while maintaining the dignity, order, and identity of our academic community.

โ€ŽThe College of Criminal Justice (CoCJ) convened a Career Development Symposium for Criminology Interns, Class Bagsik Lawin 2025โ€“2026, at the LCCC Cubay Campus Covered Court today, January 27.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽPolice Colonel Jacob T. Crisostomo discussed the background of the Recruitment and Selection Service, activated as a National Administrative Support Unit, including its legal basis. He also discussed the qualifications for the appointment of Patrolman and Patrolwoman and outlined the stages of recruitment for the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) that must be passed.

โ€ŽPolice Captain Lyvie M. Libradilla provided valuable information and addressed the NAPOLCOM application process for criminology interns.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe event was conducted to inform criminology interns about the cyclical process of NAPOLCOM and to discuss the requirements and qualifications for entering the Philippine National Police Academy.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽPresent at the event were OJT Coordinators Dr. Gemar I. Alarcon and Prof. Jessa Joy T. Subaldo; CoCJ Program Head Ronnie T. Basa; CoCJ faculty members; officers of the Philippine National Police (PNP); and Police Regional Office (PRO) โ€“ Negros Island Region personnel.
