Our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made our HIV Awareness Symposium, Understand the SK: Roles, Functions and Responsibilities, and 2nd Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly meaningful and successful.

Special thanks to Yvonne Masepequnia, RN, for sharing her valuable knowledge and insights on HIV awareness, prevention, and health education. Your message reminds our youth of the importance of being informed, responsible, and compassionate.
We also extend our appreciation to Hon. Reymark A. Gemarino for sharing his time and knowledge in helping the youth better understand the roles, functions, and responsibilities of the Sangguniang Kabataan, and for facilitating meaningful discussions during the 2nd KK Assembly.

Yesterday, August 10, 2026, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Laak conducted the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB) activity, headed by Ma’am Rhea Mae V. Balote, MLGOO.

The activity serves as an important avenue to assess, strengthen, and promote good governance, transparency, accountability, effective public service, and responsive leadership at the barangay level. It also encourages barangays to continuously improve their systems, programs, and services for the benefit of the community.

The SGLGB is more than just an assessmentβ€”it is a reminder that good governance is built through commitment, integrity, teamwork, and genuine service to the people. 🀝

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT | SK INVENTORY TEAM CREATED FOR BSKE 2026

In preparation for the 2026 Regular Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, the Office of the Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson of Barangay New Bethlehem has officially issued Order No. 2026-001, creating the Sangguniang Kabataan Inventory Team (SKIT).

This initiative is in compliance with Republic Act No. 12232, DBM-DILG-NYC Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1, Series of 2025, and DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2026-021, ensuring a transparent, accountable, and orderly inventory and turnover of all SK properties, financial records, documents, and money accountabilities before the end of the current term.

The SKIT will be responsible for conducting the inventory, preparing the required reports, ensuring the completeness of all official records and financial documents, and facilitating a smooth turnover to the incoming or re-elected Sangguniang Kabataan officials after the November 2026 elections.

As public servants, we remain committed to transparency, accountability, integrity, and good governance. This step reflects our dedication to preserving the accomplishments of the current administration while ensuring that the next generation of youth leaders receives complete and organized records for a seamless transition.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay New Bethlehem proudly celebrates the successful participation of our youth delegates in the 7th Youth Peace Camp 2026, held on July 31 – August 2, 2026, at Laak National High School, Poblacion, Laak, Davao de Oro.

For three meaningful days, our delegates actively participated in leadership development activities, peacebuilding sessions, team-building exercises, and collaborative discussions that strengthened their commitment to becoming advocates of peace, unity, and responsible youth leadership.
