The Association of Deans of Philippine Colleges of Nursing (ADPCN) Region 12 plays a crucial role in advancing nursing education and promoting high standards of nursing practice in the region. ADPCN REGION 12 is commtted to enhancing the quality of healthcare through well-trained nursing professionals who can address the diverse health needs of its population.

By attending the national convention held at the Manila Hotel last October 3-4, 2024, ADPCN Region 12 seeks to engage with other nursing educators and leaders from across the Philippines to discuss pressing issues in nursing education, share innovative teaching strategies, and collaborate on initiatives that improve nursing curricula and student outcomes. The convention serves as an important platform for networking, professional development, and advocacy for the nursing profession. Participation in this event enables Region 12 to contribute to the national discourse on nursing education, ensuring that its member institutions remain aligned with the latest trends and best practices in the field.

ADPCN REGION XII recently conducted its general assembly last September 27, 2024 at Magkono Room, Cinco Niñas, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato. The assembly was attended by member deans from various Nursing Schools in the region. The event was also attended by the representatives from CHEDROXII through the expertise of Mr. Danstone Guy Dayaday, CPA, ES II as focal person for Internationalization and Linkage and Mr. Janreve Odango, LPT.

Internationalization in HEIs especially, among schools of Nursing is highly relevant to enhance cultural comptence of Nurses, promote positive impact on nursing practice and patient care, Improvement in self efficacy and learning outcomes and efficient Incorporation of technology and innovative learning methods.

One of the agenda of the assembly also is the review and ratification of the association's guiding Constitution and By-Laws. The review is relative to changes on the membership and other provisions subject for amendments.

The PNA updates were also shared led by Dr. Elmer G. Organia, Dean of NDTC-CON, also the Regional Governor of PNA REGION XII and as well as the PNA National Corporate Secretary. The association have also conducted election of new set of officers for the SY 2024-2025. The newly elected officers will represent to the national ADPCN.
