Lakbay-Aral, Kabataa’y Gawing Mag-aaral, a Filipino phrase which literally translated as “Learning Journey, Transform Youth into Student”, is a program that provides opportunities that includes exponential learning and exposure visits for out-of- school youths from remote areas in Koronadal City on a myriad of topics or themes. The out-of- school youths are chosen to be the recipient of the progra
m because they deserve to have a proper education. The main problem that holds them back to go to school and study is being from an unfortunate and poor family. Some of them don’t go to school anymore and some didn’t experience going to school primarily because of financial difficulties, family matters, distance to be traveled going to school and the fact that education is very expensive to them. Because of that, they are enforced by their parents to just work and earn to sustain the necessities of their family. It is every child’s right to be in school no matter what because it serves as their skeleton in orderfor them to further understand what they need so as to be a responsible citizen of this society. They should be educated like other children who go to school and study. That’s why we have this “Lakbay-Aral, Kabataa’y Gawing Mag-aaral”. We know the idea that they can’t go to school because of their state, so why not we let the school go to them. We will provide necessary learning for them to start a new and productive life.
