Last Thursday, October 1, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers – Notre Dame of Marbel University Student Chapter (PICE NDMU-SC) held its 6th Monthly Meeting, where the officers sat down to go over the schedules, preparations, and assigned duties for the activities ahead.

With the first semester coming to an end, the meeting focused on the preparations and plans for the upcoming events and activities of the chapter. There was a lot to discuss, organize, and get ready for as we move into the next part of the semester.

After countless calculations, sleepless nights, and torn papers filled with doubts and quiet prayers—those words that many once only hoped to say have finally concrete-hardened into reality.

Defying a 𝟯𝟳.𝟭𝟲% 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲, while celebrating a 𝟳𝟳.𝟮𝟳% 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 among first-time takers and a 𝟱𝟯.𝟳𝟱% 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, this milestone carries a significant 𝗦𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗟 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 mark—honoring every dream pursued and every struggle along the way.

To our newly licensed 𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗡𝗗𝗠𝗨 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀, the title is finally yours: the dream has been nurtured, the goal has been achieved, and the pride is deeply shared with everyone who believed from the very beginning.

𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐍𝐃𝐌𝐔-𝐒𝐂 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐄 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬

𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗞𝗢𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗟 — The PICE NDMU-SC held its Candle Lighting Ceremony at the BRC Dining Hall on September 24, gathering the Sibil community in prayer and support for the CELE takers ahead of the Civil Engineering Licensure Examination held on September 26–27.

The ceremony brought together different faiths through prayers from Muslim, Catholic, and Lumad members, followed by praise and worship led by PSALMS NDMU. Engr. Rolly S. Tambe, MSCE, Dean of CEAC, shared words of guidance and reminded the examinees that they were not alone, while Engr. Melchor M. Famisan, D. Eng., Civil Engineering Program Coordinator, offered words of encouragement to the takers.

As the candles were lit, so were the hopes carried by every Sibil who stood with them. For every long night, sacrifice, and prayer, may they carry the light forward with courage, faith, and the quiet confidence that they have come this far for a reason. 🕯️🧡
