JUNE 25, 2026

The club gathered this evening for a very productive and engaging meeting. This marked the final meeting presided over by 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗖. 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗝𝗿., as he entrusted the floor and the continued mission of Service Above Self to our incoming impactful President, Delsergs Jose M. Abit.

𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗠. 𝗔𝗯𝗶𝘁 discussed the upcoming July 1 activity and fundraising initiative. Both the outgoing and incoming Presidents also discussed the preparations for the Club Awards Night, 60th Induction and Handover Ceremonies, and the 60th Club Anniversary, along with other important matters.

President Eric also expressed his 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 for a 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. He shared that his meaningful year of service as Club President was made possible through everyone’s 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁, emphasizing that Rotary is not about “𝗜” but about “𝗨𝘀.” Truly, 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 is best achieved through 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.

We were also delighted to be joined by our visiting Rotarian this evening, 𝗥𝘁𝗻. 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗴𝗮, Service Projects Chair and President Nominee Designate from the Rotary Club of Jinja City, District 9213.

The meeting was followed by a warm fellowship.

A productive and meaningful evening for the Club as we gathered for our regular club meeting tonight, June 11, 2026, at Pedro’s Place Function Room, presided over by President Ernesto Manuel C. Romero, Jr.

Key matters discussed and acted upon included the finalization of the ODH Renovation Plans and approval of the project budget, updates and recognition of awards received during DISCON 2026, the Earthquake Relief Donation Initiative and fundraising efforts, preparations for the upcoming Awarding and Induction Ceremony, and the proposed July 1 activity to officially welcome the new Rotary Year.

#𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 | 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Still reliving the unforgettable memories from Rotary International District 3860 DisCon 2026 held last May 29-30 at NUSTAR Resort & Casino Cebu a two-day journey filled with learning, fellowship, inspiration, and recognition.

Day 1 officially opened with the Friendship Hall and Bridge to Business, followed by the District Awarding Ceremony, Welcome Party Fellowship, and Rotarians Got Talent. It was a proud moment for the Rotary Club of Ormoc as our Club President, Ernesto Manuel C. Romero, Jr., received the Leadership Excellence Award, while our club was honored with the Club Excellence Award.

Day 2 began with the Electors’ Briefing attended by PDG Anna Louisa A. Bumagat, President Ernesto Manuel C. Romero, Jr., and Club Trainer Maricel R. Ngo. The conference continued with the Processional, Rotary Business and Insights, and inspiring plenary sessions from distinguished speakers Former Senator and fellow Rotarian 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 “𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘆” 𝗗. 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗮𝗼 reminded us that our fight against polio is not over until we achieve a complete knockout victory against the disease. 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗗. 𝗟𝗶𝘂 inspired delegates through her insights on transformative leadership and social entrepreneurship, while 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝘀 𝗝. 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗴 shared valuable lessons on leadership, personal growth, and excellence.

One of the most memorable moments of the conference was during the Gala Night. Before the fellowship celebration, 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁’𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗷𝗲𝗼𝗺𝗮 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹 𝗢𝗸𝗼𝗿𝗼 serenaded the delegates with the timeless song “𝙒𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙.” As Rotarians joined hands and sang together, the entire hall embodied this year’s call to 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 a powerful reminder that through friendship, service, and shared purpose, we can create lasting impact in our communities and around the world.

MAY 21 MEETING
📍 Pedro’s Place Function Room

The meeting was presided over by President Ernesto Manuel C. Romero, Jr. Discussions included the Run to End Polio 2026 Half Marathon Series Leg 1 Recap, DISCON final preparations, ODH updates, and possible club product.

Thank you to everyone who attended and shared their time and ideas in support of our club activities and upcoming projects.

Final Coordination Meeting for 𝗥𝗨𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗘𝗡𝗗 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗢 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 was held on May 5, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Pedro’s Place Function Room. The committee conducted its final coordination meeting with Ormoc City - Thursday Night Runners for the last round of discussions, ensuring that all preparations are in place for a safe and organized event.

The meeting was presided over by Sec. Delsergs Jose M. Abit.

Agenda covered the official route, participants’ safety, deployment of rescue vehicles, and route marshalling.

In attendance were representatives from CHO/HEMS, PNP/Traffic, and Mr. Barnsby Cagang of Traffic Enforcement Management.

With teamwork, coordination, and commitment, we are ready to make this event meaningful and impactful in the fight to end polio.❤️

Before April ends, a look back at a meaningful journey.

From April 16–18, 2026 at The Farm at Carpenter Hill, South Cotabato, the Rotary Club of Ormoc joined RI District 3860 PELS SELS / DTLS / CLLS 2026 strengthening leadership and preparing for a purposeful Rotary Year 2026–2027.

Congratulations to our Impact Builders President-Elect Delsergs Jose Abit and Secretary-Elect Maria Ava Sharone S. Suplico, and to our very own Rotarians now serving as district officers: District Stewardship Subcommittee Chair, Sandra Angelica F.
