Leadership is not merely composed of responsibilities and tasks, but also about building genuine connections with the people we lead. To lead relationally is to listen, understand, and walk with the people who look up to you for guidance.

Because leadership becomes more meaningful when we lead not just for people, but with them.

From 𝙋𝙞𝙣𝙠 to 𝙔𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬, 𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙚, 𝙊𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚, and 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣, the energy is loud, the spirit is high, and the fire of unity is lit!

With every colors comes their own uniqueness, confidence, and expression of passion for service, proving that when Maristas come together, there is never a quiet moment.

Happening now. Dr. Jethro Carl H. Arandallo reminds students that this experience is “an opportunity for us to know ourselves better, understand what it means to be a Marist leader, and most importantly, work effectively with other people.” Through Akbay Marista, leadership goes beyond titles and responsibilities. It begins with knowing oneself, understanding the responsibilities we carry, and learning to grow with others.

It captures the beginning of a journey where they are not only here to learn, but to grow, serve, and be shaped into the future leaders NDMU hopes them to be. A journey grounded in values, guided by purpose, and strengthened by togetherness.

AKVideo Phase Two: Where Service Takes Root

From ideas to action, from intention to impact.

AKBAY Marista brought Phase Two of our program to life at the Marist Farm where what started as a plan became a day of collaborative labor, shared laughter, and hearts hearts ready to serve.

In every step on the soil and every task done together, we were reminded that volunteerism is not just about helping but also, growing.

This is AKBAY in motion.
