We are proud to share the success of the Mushroom Kropek Training held on May 22โ€“23, 2025, for the members of the San Roque Farmers SLP Association in Sitio Usa-usa, Brgy. San Roque, Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte!

This two-day hands-on training was conducted through the initiative of the DSWDโ€“Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) in partnership with PhilRice- Agusan del Norte, which provided technical support and expertise. Participants were trained on how to process mushrooms into kropek โ€” a tasty and value-added product that offers new livelihood opportunities for the community.

Congratulations to all the participants and thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this training!

Daku nga pasidungog sa Malahutayong Zapanta Valley SLPA sa Sitio Zapanta Valley, Brgy. Bangayan, Kitcharao sa ilang unang ani sa talong ug siling espada sa mabungahong yuta sa Sitio Zapanta Valley!

Kini nga grupo sa 15 ka kugihan nga mag-uuma, ubos sa Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), nagpamatood nga pinaagi sa panaghiusa, paglahutay, ug maayong praktis sa pagpananom, makab-ot ang kalampusan.

Ang ilang unang ani gisupply didto sa Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) ug gibaligya sa "taboan" o merkado, nga usa ka dakong tabang sa pagpalapad sa ilang merkado ug pagpalig-on sa ilang panginabuhian. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŒพ

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), handed over a seed capital fund amounting to PHP 3.9 M to 13 SLP associations for Municipality of Jabonga, Santiago and Kitcharao in Jabonga Gym, Municipality of Jabonga on Friday โ€“ April 5, 2024.
As one of the recipient municipalities, the Municipality of Kitcharao has 4 SLP Associations (SLPA) with 15 members each.

These associations were organized in 2024 namely:

๐ŸŒฑSan Isidro Farmers Sustainable Livelihood Program Association

The purpose of the training is to prepare and equip the skills of the 15 Sustainable Livelihood Program participants regarding the opportunities brought by the livelihood of mushroom production.
The realization of the activity is in collaboration with the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice)- Agusan del Norte Ms. Villaruben as the Resource Speaker of the said training.

DSWD-SLP ADN Led by SLP Provincial Coordinator Alvin A. Bajao in collaboration with Provincial Partnership Officer Roxanne D. Velarde and Implementing Project Development Officer Gianne Cielo V. Mondano.

Thankful for the Meals and snacks are provided by Local Government Unit of Kitcharao and from the Catering services of BLA ARB Cooperative, DSWD-SLP assisted PAMANA association.
