Empowering the voices of the youth!

The Local Youth Development Office successfully conducted the Formulation of the Local Youth Development Plan 2026–2028 last April 27–28, 2026 at Loghouse 28 Mountain Resort, Barangay Lorega, Kitaotao, Bukidnon.

A meaningful step forward toward building a better future for the youth, the SK Chairpersons from 35 barangays and members of the Local Youth Development Council gathered for this significant activity.

With the full support of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Edwin P. Abucayan, the program was warmly opened with a welcome message from the Barangay Captain of Lorega, Hon. Robert G. Bendanillo, Sr., followed by an inspiring message from the Municipal Vice Mayor, Hon. Mary Ann G. Angit-Ople, RPh., encouraging everyone to take an active role in shaping programs that truly respond to the needs of young people.

The activity was further enriched by the expertise of our resource speaker, Ms. Anavil C. Vilvestre, MLGOO, who provided valuable insights and guidance throughout the planning process.

Over the two-day activity, participants actively engaged in discussions, workshops, and planning sessions—identifying priority areas, addressing pressing youth concerns, and developing strategic programs that will guide youth development efforts.

Together, we continue to empower the youth, strengthen leadership, and build a brighter and more inclusive future for all. 💚🌱

EYES HERE| MAYOR’S EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

We are please to announce that the Mayor’s Educational Assistance Program will officially start accepting applications on April 20, 2026.

This program aims to support students in pursuing their education and help ease financial challenges, allowing more youth to continue their studies.

To apply, please prepare the following requirements:
1. Application Letter address to Municipal Mayor Edwin P. Abucayan (1 Original, 4 photocopies)
2. Biodata with 2x2 picture (1 Original, 4 photocopies)
3. Certificate of Indigency with a purpose “Educational Assistance” (1 Original, 4 photocopies)
4. Grades from Previous Semester 1 Original, 4 photocopies)
5. Certificate of Registration (with tuition fee shown) 2nd Semester/ Statement of Account (1 Original, 4 photocopies)
6. School ID validated and enrolled (5 photocopies with original signature)

Qualifications:

1. Resident of respective barangay
2. College student currently enrolled from SY 2025-2026
3. Coming from indigent family
4. Did not received educational assistance from Year 2024-2025.

Please note that applicants who are currently receiving TES, listed under the SPES Program 2026, or beneficiaries of the Sangguniang Bayan Office Educational Assistance are not prioritized, in order to give opportunity to other applicants.”

Educational Assistance Program Orientation

The Local Youth Development Office successfully conducted the Educational Assistance Program Orientation for all Barangay Captains, Council Members, and SK Chairpersons of 35 Barangays last March 5–11, 2026 and April 6–10, 2026.

This initiative aims to support college students in continuing their studies by providing financial assistance. During the orientation, the requirements, guidelines, and application process were clearly discussed to ensure proper implementation in every barangay.

This program was conducted by the Local Youth Development Office under the supervision of Municipal Mayor Edwin P. Abucayan.

Together, let us continue empowering the youth and making education accessible for all. 💙
