UNITING YOUTH AGAINST ILLEGAL DRUGS SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED THE BANSAY: TRAINING OF TRAINERS IN ENHANCING LIFE SKILLS IN DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION

Linangkob, Kidapawan City—January 30, 2026.

The Uniting Youth Against Illegal Drugs (UYAD) successfully conducted the BANSAY: Training of Trainers in Enhancing Life Skills in Drug Abuse Prevention on January 30, 2026, at Linangkob National High School, Linangkob, Kidapawan City.

The program was participated in by selected student leaders of Linangkob National High School, aiming to strengthen youth engagement in drug abuse prevention through life skills development and peer education.

The BANSAY program focused on enhancing participants’ knowledge and competencies in leadership, decision-making, communication, and personal resilience, key life skills necessary in preventing substance abuse among the youth. Through interactive lectures, group discussions, and skills-building activities, the trainees were equipped to become effective youth trainers and advocates within their school and community.

The training emphasized the crucial role of young leaders in promoting a drug-free environment and empowering their peers through education, awareness, and positive influence.
The student-participants created an action plan and progress of each leaders will nurtured. Its planned programs in their school and community will be supported and monitored for the program’s sustainability.

A significant highlight of the event was the Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Linangkob National High School (LNHS), the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Linangkob, and the Uniting Youth Against Illegal Drugs (UYAD). The MOA formalized the partnership among the three institutions, strengthening collaboration in the implementation of youth development programs and sustained anti-illegal drug advocacy initiatives.
The MOA signing symbolized a shared commitment to promote a safe, healthy, and drug-free environment through coordinated efforts in education, community engagement, and youth empowerment.

The successful implementation of the activity reflects UYAD’s continued commitment to advancing youth-led initiatives that support national and local anti-illegal drug campaigns, while fostering responsible, informed, and empowered young citizens.

UYAD extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Linangkob National High School Head, faculty members, and learners for their full support and active participation. Special thanks is also given to the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Linangkob for their cooperation and continuous support, which greatly contributed to the success of the activity.
