The newly-elected officers of LOAMCP Philippines took their oath of office in the Department of Agriculture through Undersecretary Roger Navarro in the DA Central Office in Quezon City on 24 October 2025.

The group was headed by National President Mayor Ruel Molina and Secretary General Vice Mayor Rommel Arnado.

The following new officers took their oath:

Inihalal bilang National President ng LOAMCP Philippines si Hon. Ruel Molina ng Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur sa isinagawang 15th General Assembly Meeting noong October 2, 2025.

Pumalit si Mayor Balong kay former National President Rommel Arnado ng Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte na siya naman itinalaga bilang Secretary General.

Maninilbihan ang mga bagong halal na opisyales sa loob ng tatlong taon upang isulong ang sa bansa.

Ayon sa batas sa ilalim ng Republic Act 10068 o ang Organic Agriculture Act (as amended by R.A. 11511), mangunguna ang mga LGU sa pagbuo ng mga polisiya upang ma-improve ang soil fertility, mapalakas ang kabuhayan at kita ng mga magsasaka, at itaguyod ang self-sufficiency sa pamamagitan ng organic farming.

Ang LOAMCP Philippines na kasapi sa National Organic Agriculture Board (NOAB) ng Department of Agriculture ay ang pangunahing samahan ng mga local chief executives at organic agriculture focal points ng bawat LGU sa pagtataguyod ng organic agriculture sa bansa.

A new set of national officers were elected at the 15th General Assembly Meeting of LOAMCP Philippines.

Kauswagan Vice Mayor Rommel Arnado, the outgoing National President of LOAMCP, was also appointed Secretary General after Mayor Ruel ‘Balong’ Molina of Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur was elected National President.

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong administered the oath of the new set of officers. More than 60 LGUs and 130 delegates attended the event in Quezon City.

Pinag usapan ng grupo ang agenda items sa gaganaping 15th General Assembly Meeting ng LOAMCP ngayong araw, Oktubre 2.

Isa sa mahalagang agenda ng pagtitipon ng mga alkalde at focal points ay ang Election of New Officers para sa 2025 hanggang 2028.

READ: Official Statement from the Executive Board of the League of Organic Agriculture Municipalities, Cities and Provinces of the Philippines (LOAMCP Philippines) in full support to its National President, Mayor Rommel Arnado, of the Municipality of Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte.

“The League of Organic Agriculture Municipalities, Cities and Provinces of the Philippines (LOAMCP-PH) issues this statement in support of Mayor Rommel C. Arnado of Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte.

Mayor Arnado is the National President of LOAMCP-PH and is our representative in the National Organic Agriculture Board in the Department of Agriculture. He has successfully taken on the challenge of food security and peace in his town by bringing down poverty incidence from 80% to 9% through organic agriculture.

His peacebuilding and sustainable development efforts through the “From Arms to Farms Program” has been replicated and recognized by global SDGs, food and agriculture advocates in many countries. This is the same program that has brought honor to our country by winning the 2024 Future Policy Award in Switzerland and the 2016 Peace Prize Award in Colombia.

Mayor Arnado has always led LOAMCP-PH by example and he is a known advocate of good governance who practices what he preaches.

We find the suspension order against Mayor Rommel Arnado highly irregular and its cause unclear as he was only performing his ministerial duty. We call on the DILG to ensure a fair and transparent investigation that is free from political interest.”

The Organic Asia Congress will be hosted by the Philippines for the first time after the pandemic and it is happening in the Municipality of Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte!

Ang Munisipyo ng Kauswagan ay malugod na nag-aanunsiyo na sa darating na buwan ng Hunyo, ang ating bayan ay magiging ‘host municipality’ sa gaganaping 6th Organic Asia Congress kung saan mahigit 2,000 delegado ang dadalo mula sa buong Pilipinas at iba’t ibang bansa mula sa Asya at Europa.

Ang Organic Asia Congress (OAC) ay taunang pagtitipon ng mga dalubhasa at mga tagapagtaguyod ng organikong agrikultura sa mundo. Mahalaga ang pagtitipong ito upang patuloy na mapag-usapan ang mga gawain sa pagsulong ng ganitong pamamaraan sa produksiyon ng pagkain hindi lamang sa Pilipinas kundi sa buong mundo.
