10/14/2025: MKWD officially signed a Php24.9 Million contract with OPTIMUS ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION for the Supply of Labor and Materials for the Installation of a 200mm dia. uPVC Transmission Line from Brgy. Feliciano, Balete to Aranas Elem. School along the National Highway, Balete, Aklan. This project marks another significant step toward strengthening water infrastructure and ensuring a more sustainable and reliable water service for the community. Officials and representatives from both MKWD and Optimus Engineering Const. were present during the contract signing highlighting their shared commitment to quality, efficiency, and public service. Dir. Gabrielle V. Calizo-Quimpo and GM Engr. Lydio I. Ureta represented MKWD, and Engr. John Benedict G. Fonte for Optimus Engineering.

01/22/2026: MKWD and HIRAYA TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, INC., officially sealed their collaboration through a contract signing ceremony, marking a shared commitment to innovation and service excellence. Hiraya is the single calculated and responsive bidder for the Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Pressure Management System (SCADA) of the Water Resources Division. Dir. Gabrielle V. Calizo-Quimpo, authorized representative of the Head of Procuring Entity represented MKWD, and Engr. Stephen L. Larcia for Hiraya Technology Solutions, Inc. MKWD GM Engr. Lydio I. Ureta was also present during the event.
