04/15-17/2026: The 3-day seminar-workshop on the New Government Procurement Law (RA12009), conducted by Metro Kalibo Water District, served as a valuable capacity-building initiative aimed at enhancing participants' understanding of public procurement processess and reforms. Participants included representatives from all divisions, members of the HOPE, BAC, End-Users, and TWG.
The activity was led by Mr. Andy G. Matula, a recognized trainer accredited by the GPPB. With his extensive discussions on the salient features of the updated procurement law. He effectively explained complex concepts through real-world examples, case analyses, and interactive discussions, making the sessions both engaging and highly informative.
The seminar-workshop not only strengthened participants' technical competence but also reinforced the importance of ethical standards and good governance in public procurement.
Overall, the initiative demonstrated MKWD's commitment to professional development and institutional excellence, ensuring that its workforce remains well-informed and capable of implementing procurement policies in accordance with national standards.
