This Mother’s Day, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines - Aklan Chapter honors all mothers whose love, strength, and sacrifices inspire compassion, integrity, and justice in everyday life. Happy Mother’s Day to the women who guide families and communities with unwavering care. ⚖️🌷

On this Mother’s Day, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines pays tribute to all mothers — the first teachers of values, the anchors of families, and the quiet guardians of justice in everyday life. Their resilience, compassion, and unwavering dedication inspire us to serve with integrity and humanity in the legal profession.

As we honor them, we are reminded that the essence of law is not only in statutes and courts but also in the daily acts of care, sacrifice, and love that mothers embody. ⚖️🌷

IBP Aklan Brings Free Legal Aid in the Highlands: IBP–Aklan at “Serbisyo sa Iraya & Kasali Ka” (Year 4)

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) – Aklan Chapter is honored to have participated as one of the 31 government agencies and non-government organizations in SERBISYO SA IRAYA & KASALI KA (Year 4).

On April 23–24, 2026, our delegation traveled across mountainous roads to reach Brgy. Agbatuan, Oyang, Libacao, Aklan, where we provided free legal aid, legal consultations, and technical assistance to our Akeanon-Bukidnon Indigenous Peoples (IP) community.

This engagement forms part of the Serbisyong IBP (Integrated Bar for the Peripheries) initiative of the IBP Aklan-Committee on Legal Aid—bringing the rule of law and access to justice closer to geographically isolated and underserved communities, consistent with the profession’s duty to support the improvement of the administration of justice and advocacies in areas of special concern, including Indigenous Peoples’ rights and access to justice.

Key services and activities provided:

⚖️ Free legal consultations and notarization of simple affidavits, conducted at the Agbatuan Covered Court.

⚖️ Technical assistance and community dialogue with IP elders to identify priority concerns and explore sustainable, long-term initiatives for the community.

⚖️Community engagement through participation in the Caravan of Services, to help ensure that legal assistance and government programs remain accessible even in remote areas.

Beyond the legal mission, IBP–Aklan also joined the eco-trekking and tree-planting activity where we undertook an on-ground trek to reach Nasuraan Falls, affirming that meaningful service includes care for the communities and environments we are privileged to visit.

We extend our since appreciation to the IP community in Agbatuan Oyang for warmly welcoming us and to our volunteer legal aid lawyers and our legal aid staff for their active participation.

Serve the Country, Hail the IBP!

IBP Aklan and ACC Law Team Up for Legal Aid

IBP Aklan and Aklan Catholic College–Faculty of Law (ACC Law) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP) law students duty at the IBP Aklan – Office of Legal Aid and participation in legal aid outreaches/legal missions, with law student practitioners working under supervision of legal aid lawyers.

The MOU was signed by Atty. Jude M. Mangilog (IBP Aklan Chapter President / Chairperson, Committee on Legal Aid) and Dean Atty. Marc Anthony M. Peralta (ACC Law). The signing was witnessed by members of the board of officers of the IBP Aklan.
