The Department of Trade and Industry – Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB) encourages exporters to participate in the upcoming Trade Facilitation and Rules of Origin Forum organized by the Department of Trade and Industry - Bureau of International Trade Relations (DTI-BITR), in collaboration with the Bureau of Customs (BOC).

The virtual forum will be held on March 18, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 nn via Zoom.

The session will cover the following topics:
• Introduction to Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Rules of Origin (ROO) Transshipment Controls
• Export Clearance Requirements and Process
• DTI FTA-Origin Management System (OMS)
The discussions aim to provide exporters with a clearer understanding of FTA benefits, compliance requirements, and available digital tools to streamline trade procedures.

✨ National Exporters Week 2025: Aklan Proudly Represented! ✨
From December 1–5, 2025, the Aklan Chapter actively participated in the National Exporters Week, by our Chapter President Ms. Rose F. Nepomuceno and Executive Director Ms. Salmy N. Beltran. It was a week filled with learning, connection, and celebration of Philippine export excellence.

🌟 Highlights of the Week:

📌 December 3 – General Membership Meeting cm Christmas Party
A glamorous night with the theme “Royal Ascot: A Night of Elegance.” Members enjoyed an evening of sophistication, fellowship, and year-end celebration.

📌 December 4 – National Exporters Congress
A meaningful gathering graced by the presence of DTI Secretary Ma. Cristina Roque, who shared her inspiring insights and support for the export community.

📌 December 5 – Kumustahan 2025
An engaging roundtable discussion where exporters connected, shared experiences, explored opportunities, and strengthened linkages for the coming year.

Our Annual Planning and Year-End Party has finally concluded—and despite many being unable to attend, the event was still a meaningful and successful one. ❤️💚

A Commercial Invoice is not just a regular invoice! It’s actually one of the most important documents in international trade.

🌍 It serves as a legal document between the exporter and importer, detailing the goods being sold — their value, quantity, and description.

💡 Fun Fact:
Customs offices around the world use the commercial invoice to assess duties and taxes, and it’s also the basis for declaring exports as zero-rated for VAT!

📦 Without it, your shipment might get delayed — or worse, stuck at customs!
