: LNU’S PARCHASO LEADS MARCH 2026 PLE

After a week of anticipation, the official page of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has finally revealed the topnotcher of the March 2026 Physicians Licensure Examination.

Dr. Erwin Ken A. Parchaso of Lyceum Northwestern University secured the No. 1 spot, leading 1,954 newly licensed physicians out of 2,781 examinees nationwide.

LNU, under the leadership of University President Dr. Luz T. Duque-Hammershaimb, has commended his remarkable achievement, proudly sharing the good news on Facebook while highlighting the administration’s dedication to excellence in medical education.

“This exceptional accomplishment reflects outstanding excellence, dedication, and the strong foundation of medical education within the Lycean community,” LNU stated in its Facebook post.

Mayor Belen Fernandez also expressed her heartfelt gratitude, lauding the group’s impeccable milestone and their commitment to academic excellence.

"Congratulations to Doc Parchaso, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Francisco T. Duque III, University President Dr. Luz T. Duque-Hammershaimb, Executive Vice President Dr. Marco Francisco S. Duque, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Rodney Odesson P. Raguindin, Dr. Francisco Q. Duque Medical Foundation College of Medicine Dean Dr. Agnes G. Dimaano and the whole administration for this outstanding achievement and for bringing honor to the university and the city," the local chief executive said.

On April 8, Dr. Parchaso’s name was withheld from the initial release of the examination results, with the PRC yet to issue an official explanation.
