✨ Support Our Film – A Tribute to Aklan’s Babaylan Heritage ✨

In 2020, a promise was made. The idea for this film was born out of a deep curiosity about our Babaylan – the spiritual healers and community leaders of our ancestors. Our journey led us to the last generation of Babaylan in Libacao, Aklan, where we had the privilege of witnessing this rich, vibrant tradition. From this, a mini-documentary was created, but reality struck: many of these practices are being lost or are slowly fading into oblivion. They are seen as burdensome and impractical in today’s world.

This film is our tribute to the Tumandok, to our province, and to the heritage we risk losing, which could soon become a distant memory. It is an urgent call to preserve what remains of our culture and to inspire a new generation to reconnect with the past. Through this film, we hope to rekindle our connection to our roots and remind us of who we once were.

But we can’t do this alone. We are calling on YOU—the community, our supporters, and everyone who believes in the power of storytelling and heritage preservation.

🌿 Help bring this vision to life! Any donation, no matter how small, will go a long way in supporting the production of this film. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that our Babaylan traditions continue to thrive for generations to come.
