On February 24, 2026, she had the honor of meeting and being personally congratulated by the Chief Executive of the East Asian-Australasian Flyway Partnership, Jennifer George, during the symposium, who specifically wanted to meet the talented creator behind the winning design.

Jodessโ€™ remarkable logo is now ๐จ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐š๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ญ๐ž๐ as the logo of the Sibugay Wetland Nature Reserve, bringing pride and recognition to the Kabasalan National High School community.

She first earned this victory on February 2, 2025, during the ๐ƒ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐‹๐จ๐ ๐จ ๐Œ๐š๐ค๐ข๐ง๐  ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ held at the Capitol, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay where she won a a certificate with cash for her exceptional creativity and talent.

Additionally, she serves as the YES-O Junior High School President. Special recognition and heartfelt thanks to her YES-O adviser and mentor; Mrs. Devine Grace D. Apoyon, Mr. Franco Rino C. Apoyon, and Mrs. Maybelle; as well as her coach, Mrs. Erlyn Jacomilla Perez, for their guidance and unwavering support.

๐ŸŒฑ Leafguardโ€™s Green Efforts Recognized at the 2025 Gawad Parangal ๐ŸŒฑ

We proudly celebrate another milestone as Kabasalan National High School's YES Organization receives recognition during the 2025 Gawad Parangal of the Schools Division of Zamboanga Sibugay.

On December 11, 2025, KNHS YES-O was conferred the Outstanding Youth Implementation Unit Award, a testament to its sustained commitment to environmental stewardship and youth empowerment. The award was graciously received by Dr. Jessibeth B. Dela Cruz, School Principal, together with Ms. Devine Grace G. Apoyon, YES-O Coordinator.

This achievement was made possible through the collective dedication of our leafguards and the unwavering support of the KNHS YES Organization partners, who continuously champion green initiatives for the environment and the youth. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to DENR Region IX, PENRO Zamboanga Sibugay, MAGKUNO Association, the Kabasalan LGU, and all our valued stakeholders for believing in the power of our young people to create positive change.

Adding to this proud moment, Mr. Franco Rino C. Apoyon, Founding YES-O Adviser and now Assistant School Principal of KNHS Senior High School, was also awarded a Plaque of Commendation as one of the 2025 CSC Regional HAP Awardees.

We are thrilled to announce that our school's YES-O organization has been shortlisted as one of the top 3 finalists for the Outstanding Youth Formation Program Implementation in Zamboanga Peninsula!

We are proud to have the unwavering support of our School Head, Ma'am Jessibeth Dela Cruz, and Assistant School Head, Sir Franco Calsarin Apoyon , as we represent our school in the regional interview by the Department of Education Region 9.

We are honored to have our previous stakeholders, John Dave Barte, who was part of the first establishment of YES-O in 2013, and Mr. Jaylard Silvestre , who served as YES-O President for 3 consecutive years, way back in 2021. Their dedication and passion have paved the way for our current leaders.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to our amazing YES-O Coordinator, Ma'am Devine Grace Digal Gumolon-Apoyon , for her guidance and support in making our YES-O organization a success.

And speaking of current leaders, we are proud to have Judel Zachary Eulogio, our YES-O President and District President, leading the charge! Together, we are making a difference in our school and community.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Department of Education Region 9 for this recognition. We are excited to share our story and showcase the impact of our YES-O organization.

On behalf of the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made todayโ€™s event possible.

First, to our beloved School Principal, Maโ€™am Jesibeth B. Dela Cuz, and our Assistant School Principal, Sir Franco Rino Apoyon, thank you for your continuous support and encouragement in every environmental activity we do.

To our dedicated YES-O adviser, Maโ€™am Devince Grace Apoyon, thank you for your guidance and for always inspiring us to care for our environment.

We would also like to extend our warmest thanks to our visitors from the Kabasalan Royal Eagles Club for providing the bamboo seedlings and leaf guards who helped us today Your generosity and support truly mean a lot to us.

And of course, to all the students and participants, thank you for joining and showing your love for nature through your actions.
