𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗢 𝗞𝗔𝗔𝗚𝗜𝗗 𝗠𝗢 𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗨𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡! 🇵🇭 🤲

As communities in Sarangani, General Santos City, and nearby areas begin recovering from the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake, we stand in solidarity , youth, family, teacher, responder, and community affected.

Many homes, schools, and public facilities have been damaged. For thousands of learners, what should have been the beginning of a new school year has instead become another disruption to their education and sense of safety.

In the comments section, we will be compiling verified relief operations, donation drives, and response initiatives from organizations and partners supporting affected communities.

𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗢 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦: 𝗥𝗘𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗜-𝗗𝗬𝗡𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗬 𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗟, 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗔 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗨𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗜-𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗬𝗡𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗬 𝗟𝗔𝗪 𝗡𝗢𝗪!

The Student Council Alliance of the Philippines (SCAP), together with student councils, campus organizations, student formations, and student leaders across the country, strongly opposes the passage of House Bill No. 8389, the so-called Anti-Political Dynasty Act, on third and final reading in the House of Representatives.

Nearly four decades after the ratification of the 1987 Constitution, Congress has yet to fulfill its constitutional duty to prohibit political dynasties. Instead of finally addressing this long-standing democratic deficit, the House has approved a measure that weakens the intent of the Constitution and preserves loopholes that allow political families to maintain their dominance.

While presented as a historic reform, HB 8389 falls far short of meaningful change. The measure limits the prohibition to relatives within only the second degree of consanguinity and affinity, rejects proposals to extend coverage to the fourth degree, and excludes restrictions on dynasties within the party-list system. These limitations allow political families to continue occupying multiple elective positions across different levels of government while creating the illusion of reform.

Political dynasties remain one of the greatest barriers to democratic participation and accountable governance. By concentrating power in the hands of a few families, they weaken political competition, restrict opportunities for new leaders to emerge, and deny many Filipinos meaningful representation.

A law made by dynasties that allows dynasties to preserve their dominance through loopholes and exemptions cannot be considered genuine reform.

The Filipino youth refuse to inherit a political system where public office is treated as family property and political power is passed down through bloodlines rather than earned through competence, integrity, and public service.

We therefore call on the Senate to pass its own version of a genuine Anti-Political Dynasty Bill and ensure, through the Bicameral Conference Committee process, that the final measure strengthens—not weakens—the constitutional prohibition against political dynasties by:

• Prohibiting political dynasties within the fourth degree of consanguinity and affinity;

• Preventing both simultaneous occupation and succession of elective positions by relatives within the same province, city, municipality, or legislative district;

• Closing loopholes that allow political families to dominate both district and party-list representation; and

• Expanding democratic participation by creating greater opportunities for new leaders, particularly from the youth and marginalized sectors.

The Filipino students and youth stand united in demanding the fulfillment of the Constitution's mandate and the dismantling of dynastic rule in Philippine politics.

Majority Senators, ano na? Nakakahiya at kasuklam-suklam na ang Senate of the Philippines!

Sa ilalim ng liderato ng inyong Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano, naging simbolo ang Senado ng impunidad, kawalan ng pananagutan, at pagkaparalisa ng isang institusyong dapat nagsisilbi sa mamamayang Pilipino.

Mula sa pagtatanggol at pangunguna ni ex-convict Robin Padilla sa pagtulong sa pagtakas ng puganteng si "Bato" Dela Rosa, hanggang sa pagkunsinti sa fake news peddler na si Imee Marcos at drama queen na si Pia Cayetano, at sa pagprotekta sa mandarambong na si Jinggoy Estrada, habang nalulugmok ang Senado sa krisis sa quorum at kawalan ng direksyon, malinaw kung sino ang pinipiling pagsilbihan ng kasalukuyang liderato.

Habang milyun-milyong Pilipino ang humaharap sa krisis sa edukasyon, trabaho, at kabuhayan, ang Senado ay naging bihag ng intriga, paksyunalismo, at mga pampulitikang maniobrang walang naiaambag sa kapakanan ng mamamayan.

Sa bawat araw na nananatili si Alan Cayetano sa kanyang puwesto, lalong bumabagsak ang kredibilidad ng isang institusyong dapat ay nagsisilbi bilang bantay ng demokrasya at pananagutan.

Tama na ang drama. Tama na ang pagtatakipan. Tama na ang pagpaparalisa sa Senado.

Ahead of the 2026 United Nations High-Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS, Y+ Global, Youth RISE, and Youth LEAD have developed a Joint Youth Statement calling for stronger commitments on youth leadership, health services, education, human rights, accountability, and sustainable funding.

After a Long Decision, We are know officially not searching for applicants and decided to make this a discourse and an open rants for youth empowerment in the community. Also, heartfully serve the youth to strive in achieving this kind of discourse. We are here always to support and acknowledge the dedication of all the youth leaders. Hindi tayo nagiisa dahil ilalaban pa rin natin ang ating kinabukasan. Sa KTU, ang diskursong nagpamamahayag ng saloobin at may malayang pakikipagugnayan sa lider-kabataan. Isapuso ang diwa ng demokratikong kaisipan at ibigay ang tunay na serbisyo, palakasin ang boses ng Kabataan, Kikilos pa rin sa gitna ng problema. Tayo'y makikinig, kiKILOS pa rin sa kabataan. Andito lang ang organisasyon na may malayang kaisipan mula sa PagKILOS hanggang pangangalaga sa karapatang pantao ng bawat kabataan. Muli ang organisasyon na opisyal ng binababa ang paghahanap pa ng mga Lider Kabataan dahil ito na ang magiging malayang diskurso ng pamamahayag.
