What is Rotaract
Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 16 to 30. Rotaract club are either community or university based, and they are sponsored by a local Rotary clubs. This make them true “partner in service” and key member of the family of the Rotary. How Rotaract works
All Rotaract efforts begin in the local grassroots level with member addressing their commun
ity’s physical and social needs while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service. Rotaract Motto
The official Rotaract motto is indicated in the Rotary manual is “Fellowship through Service” This is in line with the Rotary’s motto, “Service above Self” which speak about the about the organization’s aim to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace and eradicate polio, through fellowship they generate and uphold service. The more member or followers Rotaract has, the more services it can give to the community or even the rest of the world since it is mainly composed of the youth from 18-30 years old. GOALS
Rotaract has the following goals:
• To develop a professional and leadership skill.
• To emphasize respect for the right of others based on recognition of the worth of each individual.
• To recognize the dignity and value of all useful occupation as opportunities to serve.
• To develop knowledge and understanding of the needs, problem, and opportunities in the community and worldwide.
• To provide opportunities for personal and group activities to serve the community and promote international understanding and goodwill toward all people Rotaract Motto
