Notre Dame of Isulan is now CPR Ready
Isulan, Sultan Kudarat – August 9, 2025 — The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Sultan Kudarat Chapter, in its continuous commitment to promoting safety and preparedness, successfully conducted a CPR demonstration and basic first aid training at Notre Dame of Isulan on August 9, 2025.
The event was attended by students, faculty members, and NDI Junior Rescue, all eager to learn life-saving techniques that could prove critical in emergencies. Trained PRC personnel facilitated the program, providing hands-on demonstrations and interactive sessions covering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), wound management, fracture immobilization, and proper response to common medical emergencies.
Participants were given the opportunity to practice CPR techniques using mannequins under the supervision of Red Cross instructors, ensuring proper form and application. The training also emphasized the importance of quick and calm response during accidents, highlighting the golden hour concept in first aid response.
The activity aligns with the Philippine Red Cross’s mission to build more resilient communities through education and preparedness and a CPR READY Philippines. With the success of this initiative, both the PRC and Notre Dame of Isulan expressed interest in continuing such partnerships in the future to further promote health and safety awareness among students.
The Notre Dame of Isulan is truly grateful to the Team of experts from Philippine Red Cross Sultan Kudarat Chapter in sharing their time and skills to the participants.
