National Heroes Day honors the lives, sacrifices, and courage of Filipinos who dedicated themselves to the freedom and future of our nation. May we honor their sacrifices not only by remembering their names, but also by carrying their spirit in our own waysโ€”through learning, serving, standing for what is right, and striving to make a difference in the everyday challenges that shape our nationโ€™s future.

Heroism, however, is not limited to the battlefields of the past or the pages of history. Today, it can be seen in the dedication of frontliners who protect our communities, teachers who shape future generations, farmers who help provide food for the nation, public servants who lead with honesty and integrity, and overseas Filipino workers who endure hardships to support their families.

As we honor our heroes, let us not only remember the sacrifices they made but also continue the legacy they left behind. May their courage inspire us to do our part, serve others with compassion, and work together toward a brighter future.

Today, we remember their sacrifices. Today, we honor their courage. And every day, we carry their legacy forward.

Today, August 21, marks Ninoy Aquino Day, a national non-working holiday established through Republic Act No. 9256 to commemorate the death anniversary of former Sen. Benigno โ€œNinoyโ€ Aquino Jr., whose 43rd death anniversary is observed this year.

As we remember Ninoy Aquino, we also reflect on his life and the events that shaped an important chapter in Philippine history. May this day remind us to look back on our past, honor those who shaped it, and recognize the importance of upholding the values we hold as a nation. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ
