The Red Cross Youth of Visayas State University Isabel actively demonstrated their commitment to service as part of the community support team during the two-day celebration of EStudentsโ Days on March 25โ26, 2026.
Throughout the event, the volunteers were strategically deployed across different areas of the campus. Some members were assigned to designated first aid stations, while others formed the ambulatory team, continuously roaming around activity areas to monitor situations and immediately respond to any emergencies. This systematic approach ensured that assistance was always accessible and that the safety of students remained a top priority.
During the course of the activities, the Red Cross Youth volunteers were able to put their training into action as they attended to several real-life situations, including students who fainted, sustained minor injuries, and experienced physical discomfort. Their quick response, proper assessment, and application of first aid procedures played a crucial role in managing these incidents effectively.
Guided by the Red Cross mantra, โAlways First, Always Ready, Always There,โ the youth volunteers embodied readiness and compassion in every situation they encountered. Their active participation not only ensured the safety and well-being of the participants but also highlighted the importance of having trained individuals present during large-scale school events.
