Recently, on December 6, 2024, the PWD Sector of Barangay Monbon successfully gathered the majority of its members for our Annual General Assembly and Food Pack Distribution with the theme "Amplifying the Leadership of Persons with Disabilities for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future" for the year 2024. Our program was strengthened by Sir Bernie Balitaon from DepEd encouraging parents to get their children enrolled in classes especially designed by DepEd for children who are differently abled. Sir Bernie passionately spoke of how Monbon Elementary School SPED is eager to help students in accordance with their different needs. To enable them to do what they actually could.
There were information disseminations of how useful our issued ID from PDAO could get. Members are advised to renew ID when it expires to remain officially and nationally recognized. Members are advised to attend regular meetings to personally know and be aware of every update.
Our sector is extremely blessed this year by what we have received from the present barangay officials, especially our Barangay Captain Carlo Balmes, We truly appreciate how he listens and helps readily every time we have concerns being brought to him. Kap said, "maski di na niyo ako pagpasalamatan kay saiyo man talaga yon." You deserve our thanks for the allocation well done, Kap! Best example nga niyan an Monbon in terms of support and care our sector is getting sa buong Irosin! The help and service of the barangay secretary and barangay treasurer are likewise exemplary! We salute you! Our appreciation goes to Kagawad Pining Imperial who was asked for provisions for some snacks na maski late na an notice; she made time to bring some bread and cake; she felt kulang pa an hinatag niya pero many thanks po from us, Kagawad Pining. We also would like to gratefully acknowledge Kons Ate Mers for our drinking water, Kons Jojo, who did not forget to send rice na pina raffle mi, nan si Kons Tony, who came with rice and has joined our meeting for a while. We shall not forget to appreciate and to thank an mga totoong bida since day one, from planning to executing. They are Lourdes Sabio, Loriely Deuda,Trisha Espinola, Ernesto Balmes, Charlene Vince, Nelly Balaguer, Marites Gracila, sa mga tanod man na nagdanon sa amo, thank you guys for the heartfelt voluntary work. Salamat kay an gusto ta lang an kon nano an makaayad sa grupo. And lastly but definitely not the least, Beth Balmes had the privilege to share God's Words taken from the Book of John chapter 3 verse 16. Our prayer is for everyone to give God the glory and thanksgiving for the reason and not merely for the season. The LORD bless you all!
