April 10, 2026 was not just a closing program. It was the quiet, powerful ending of a long road we all traveled together. The project began with a clear purpose to bring literacy and numeracy to the children of San Rafael GK Ilawod. We arrived with boxes of modules, pens, excitement at the edges, and hope. Rain turned pathways into mud. Heat made the afternoons slow and heavy. Letters refused to sit on the lines and numbers kept hiding from little fingers.
In the middle of the journey, the change was no longer only on paper. A boy who once answered only with a nod now reads his favorite story without being asked. A girl who counted with shy, hidden hands now writes sums on the ground. That is when we understood what we were really building. We were not just teaching A-B-C and 1-2-3. We were giving children keys. With every sound they learned and every number they trusted, they unlocked a piece of themselves. In that unlocking, they found freedom, the freedom to speak, to ask, to try without fear. And in the circle of claps and nods that met them each time, they found comfort, the comfort of being seen and valued. Literacy gave them voice. Numeracy gave them direction.
Together, they found their wings.
A triumph like this is never made by one set of hands. It is carried by a whole community. Our deepest thanks go to Atty. Remelisa Alfelor Moraleda, head of University of Northeastern Philippines, who looked past the paperwork and opened real doors for children. We thank our dynamic principal, Sir Froilan D. Celetaria, who lived the truth that every learner counts. We thank the learners of San Rafael GK Ilawod, because your courage to try again after every stumble was the bravest lesson in the room.

Your generosity and support made it possible for us to bring meaningful learning experiences and opportunities to our learners. Because of you, this project became not just a program, but a source of hope and inspiration in the community. Maraming salamat po for believing in our mission and for helping us make a difference.
We thank the Teachers and Volunteers who offered hours, patience, and quiet faith without keeping count. Your steady presence was the ground this project stood on. We also thank the Officials of San Rafael, Iriga City headed by Hon. Rudy M. Catimbang for choosing to stand with us and making the road lighter to walk. We thank the proud parents who believed your children could do more. We thank Maโam Marissa De Lo Virges , whose strength was calm and whose belief in this work stayed loud on the days ours grew tired. And we thank our coordinators, Maโam Jocel Baal Padayao - Sinfuego , Maโam Kath Dorosan , and Maโam Keziah Shane Tabumpama Dimabayao , who held every detail together so no child and no effort was left behind.
On April 10, 2026, we closed a program, but we opened something else. Proof that when a community teaches a child to read and to count, it also teaches that child to be free and to feel safe. For that journey, for that triumph, and for the light we found together. Thank you for that wonderful experience. May this legacy continue and reach more children to open their doors.
