Here are the students and teachers who became part of a project that not only helped the children but also served as a light for the future awaiting them. They came from the river unit of the city, traveling to the mountain part every Saturday to teach. Today, they have successfully carried out a triumphant project.

As the term of this pioneer batch of volunteers comes to an end, the CES Family would like to extend its heartfelt appreciation for each and every one's dedication and commitment to community service. Not only did they embody the essence of being a volunteer, but they also explored the deeper journey that lies behind the service.

CONGRATULATIONS, PROJECT TRIUMPH BATCH '25-'26!!

April 10, 2026 was not just a closing program. It was the quiet, powerful ending of a long road we all traveled together. The project began with a clear purpose to bring literacy and numeracy to the children of San Rafael GK Ilawod. We arrived with boxes of modules, pens, excitement at the edges, and hope. Rain turned pathways into mud. Heat made the afternoons slow and heavy. Letters refused to sit on the lines and numbers kept hiding from little fingers.

In the middle of the journey, the change was no longer only on paper. A boy who once answered only with a nod now reads his favorite story without being asked. A girl who counted with shy, hidden hands now writes sums on the ground. That is when we understood what we were really building. We were not just teaching A-B-C and 1-2-3. We were giving children keys. With every sound they learned and every number they trusted, they unlocked a piece of themselves. In that unlocking, they found freedom, the freedom to speak, to ask, to try without fear. And in the circle of claps and nods that met them each time, they found comfort, the comfort of being seen and valued. Literacy gave them voice. Numeracy gave them direction.

Together, they found their wings.

A triumph like this is never made by one set of hands. It is carried by a whole community. Our deepest thanks go to Atty. Remelisa Alfelor Moraleda, head of University of Northeastern Philippines, who looked past the paperwork and opened real doors for children. We thank our dynamic principal, Sir Froilan D. Celetaria, who lived the truth that every learner counts. We thank the learners of San Rafael GK Ilawod, because your courage to try again after every stumble was the bravest lesson in the room.

With heartfelt gratitude, we extend our sincere thanks to all the sponsors of UNEP Project TRIUMPH. -Atty. Peachy Alfelor Moraleda

Your generosity and support made it possible for us to bring meaningful learning experiences and opportunities to our learners. Because of you, this project became not just a program, but a source of hope and inspiration in the community. Maraming salamat po for believing in our mission and for helping us make a difference.

We thank the Teachers and Volunteers who offered hours, patience, and quiet faith without keeping count. Your steady presence was the ground this project stood on. We also thank the Officials of San Rafael, Iriga City headed by Hon. Rudy M. Catimbang for choosing to stand with us and making the road lighter to walk. We thank the proud parents who believed your children could do more. We thank Maโ€™am Marissa De Lo Virges , whose strength was calm and whose belief in this work stayed loud on the days ours grew tired. And we thank our coordinators, Maโ€™am Jocel Baal Padayao - Sinfuego , Maโ€™am Kath Dorosan , and Maโ€™am Keziah Shane Tabumpama Dimabayao , who held every detail together so no child and no effort was left behind.

On April 10, 2026, we closed a program, but we opened something else. Proof that when a community teaches a child to read and to count, it also teaches that child to be free and to feel safe. For that journey, for that triumph, and for the light we found together. Thank you for that wonderful experience. May this legacy continue and reach more children to open their doors.

UNEP High School Department โ€“ Community Extension Services๐Ÿ’š

As Christmas Day approaches, the spirit of generosity and compassion becomes more meaningful. Let us bring hope, joy, knowledge, and kindness to the learners of our partner barangays this holiday season.

The UNEP High School Department Community Extension Services officially launches its Christmas Donation Drive: " A Gifts of Hope and Learning". We aim to gather used toys, used books, storybooks, and school supplies from students, teachers, parents, alumni, and other benevolent donors.

All collected items will be distributed to the learners of our partner barangays during our scheduled outreach activity. As a gesture of appreciation, all donors will be acknowledged during the distribution program.

Your simple act of giving can bring immense happiness, hope, and inspiration to children this Christmas season. We encourage and invite everyone to take part in this meaningful initiative and help make a difference in our community.

For your concerns, please contact our official page. Thank you so much!

KICK-OFF | Project TRIUMPH
Teachers and Rays Intervention for Understanding through Mentorship, Practice, and Help
A Literacy Intervention Program by the UNEP High School Community Extension Services

Today, UNEP HS CES proudly launches Project TRIUMPH, reaffirming its commitment to service, education, and community empowerment. Held at the GK Ilawud Tribal Community Day Care Center in Barangay San Rafael, Iriga City, this initiative brings mentors and learners together with one shared goal: to strengthen literacy as the foundation of lifelong learning.

Through collaboration and compassion, UNEP student volunteers and coordinators extend their time, skills, and dedication to support young learnersโ€”proving that meaningful change begins with simple acts of teaching, listening, and guiding.

As we continue this mission, Project TRIUMPH stands as a testament to what communities can achieve when hearts, hands, and hopes come together.
Education is not just taughtโ€”it's shared, nurtured, and lived.

Hereโ€™s to another wave of learning, growth, and triumph. ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ“š

The UNEP community, headed by University President Atty. Remelisa G. Alfelor-Moraleda, High School Principal Mr. Froilan D. Celetaria, and the Community Extension Services Coordinators, extends its heartfelt gratitude to the San Rafael Barangay Council, headed by Hon. Rudy M. Catimbang, and to Maโ€™am Marissa De lo Virges, the GK-Ilawud Tribal Community Education Coordinator, for their support and valuable coordination.๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿค
