The Lyceum Central Student Government, also known as the LYCESGO, is the highest self-governing student body of Lyceum of the Philippines University - Manila. It is the sole, unified, autonomous and democratic representative body of the 5 (five) College Student Governments, Batch Student Governments and all Student Organizations accredited by the Student Affairs Office (SAO). Its principal concern
is the promotion of welfare and protection of student rights. It promotes and upholds academic freedom in pursuit of the goal of academic excellence. It advances and carries on the tradition of enlightened nationalism as a basic element of a truly responsive LPU education. It promotes and maintains harmonious and peaceful relationships among the studentry, and with faculty members and the administration based on mutual trust, respect, honesty, equality and fairness. It adheres to democratic principles and processes, and abides by the rule of the majority. The LYCESGO, although autonomous, is under the supervision of the Dean of the Student Affairs Office. Elected LYCESGO Representatives from five colleges of the university namely College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Business Administration (CBA), College of International Relations (CIR), College of International Tourism & Hospitality Management (CITHM) and the College of Technology (COT) shall constitute the LYCESGO officers thru internal voting. The President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Auditor are duly elected officers by the student body in a manner expressly provided in the LPU Central Student Council Election Code.
