“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood…” — 1 Peter 2:9

A new semester has begun! 🗓️Another opportunity to gain Christ, experience Christ, and enjoy Christ together with our companions on our campuses.

From our Back-to-School Conference, we were reminded to pray for our campuses, preach the gospel, and bring the people into our homes, where we can care for them and shepherd them in the Lord. We are priests—bringing people to God—and kings—bringing God into people.

May this be more than just something we heard at the conference but become our experience and reality on our campuses this semester—as we pray, preach the gospel, and bring people in our homes.

"In order that He might make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He had before prepared unto glory" — Rom. 9:23

Have you ever asked yourself, "What am I for? What is the true purpose of my existence?" In the Bible there's a wonderful mystery: we were made not only to live this life—we were created as vessels! We were made to be filled with God's unsearchable riches, like a cup is filled with water. If we let Him be our content, then the greatest mystery of human life is made known!

"And the God of peace Himself sanctify you wholly, and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." —1 Thessalonians 5:23

In order to understand the mystery of human life, we must fully know how we are wonderfully made. We're more than physical! We have a physical body to reach the physical world, a soul to deal with the psychological world, and a spirit—our deepest and innermost part that was created for the purpose of reaching, receiving, and containing God. Have you exercised your "human spirit" to contain Him as your life by calling "Oh Lord Jesus!" today?

"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." — 1 Corinthians 15:58

It was a wonderful opportunity to be with such precious companions, to abound in the Lord's work, right where the students are, giving out gospel tracts and preaching the gospel. We do all this for the Lord! Praise the Lord for He is the Life Giving Spirit in us!

And at the closing of this age,
When His bride has been perfected,
The romance from eternal days
Has its story consummated.
The Lord will come again, the church to Him presented;
And then at last, the words that He might say:
“Bone of My bones… flesh of My flesh…
The church at last shall be My counterpart!”
Because out of Christ, she was taken, united to be one,
The same as He in life to satisfy His heart!

We spend so much time trying to fill our lives with success, money, achievements, and distractions.

Yet why do we still feel empty?

Because man is a vessel created by God with a particular, specific purpose — to be filled with Him.

Just like an empty bottle cannot express what it was made to hold, a life without God in his spirit can never fulfill his purpose.
