𝘽𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙚 𝙆𝙖𝙩𝙝, together with 𝗜𝗩𝗦𝗔-𝗗𝗟𝗦𝗔𝗨 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗞𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻, attended the 𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺, “𝑭𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑪𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝑪𝒐𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆: 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑨𝒅𝒐𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒚,” held at 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 in 𝗟𝗶𝗽𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘀 last 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

The symposium highlighted important discussions on habitat threats in marine ecosystems, sea turtle hatching and conservation, as well as the treatment and management of floaters, ill, and injured turtles. 🌊🐢

More than just a learning experience, the event served as a meaningful reminder of how science, compassion, and collective action play vital roles in protecting marine life and preserving biodiversity for future generations. ✨

𝓘𝓽'𝓼 𝓪 𝔀𝓻𝓪𝓹 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓹𝓪𝔀𝓰𝓻𝓮𝓼𝓼! 🐾

𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐰𝐨 of 𝑷𝒂𝒘𝒔 & 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔 started early with the webinar of the Standing Committee on Wellness (SCOW), titled "𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝑭𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑰𝒏-𝑩𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑾𝒆 𝑫𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝑻𝒂𝒍𝒌 𝑨𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕". This was discussed by our very own IVSA PH Standing Committee on Wellness (SCOW) Chairperson, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐳𝐨𝐧. During her discussion, the participants were able to understand how they can flourish as an individual 🏵

This was followed by the talk of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐈𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭, titled "𝑪𝒂𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝑺𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑫𝒐𝒈𝒔: 𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑭𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑩𝒊𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝑪𝒂𝒕 𝑩𝒆𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒐𝒓". This webinar of the Standing Committee on One Health (SCOH), allowed our participants, especially cat owners, to understand their cats behavior and how they can apply it in the field of veterinary medicine 🐈

Last but not the least is the "𝑷𝒖𝒍𝒔𝒐 𝒂𝒕 𝑷𝒖𝒔𝒐: 𝑽𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑨𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒚 & 𝑷𝒉𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒚 𝑸𝒖𝒊𝒛 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒔𝒕 (𝑽𝑨&𝑷𝑸𝑪)" organized by the Standing Committee on Veterinary Education (SCOVE). True to their committee's mission, this contest allowed our participants to have learning opportunities as they recall on general animal anatomy and physiology. The participants were able to test their knowledge while engaging in a friendly competition 🩺

𝙄𝙩'𝙨 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙬𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣! 🐾

The day has come as the 𝑷𝒂𝒘𝒔 & 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔 has officially commenced! Day one started off with the webinar of the Standing Committee on Career Atributes (𝙎𝘾𝙤𝘾𝘼), where 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐚 discussed the expectations and roles of being a corporate veterinarian. During his talk, the participants were able to get a sneak peak on what life feels like to work on a corporate field.

This was followed by the seminar of the Standing Committee on Animal Welfare (𝙎𝘾𝘼𝙒), where 𝑫𝒓. 𝑯𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒂𝒉 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝑺𝒂𝒚𝒔𝒐𝒏 talked about appropriate management of animal nutrition. During her talk, the importance of a balanced nutrition and proper monitoring of our pets' health was discussed.

For those that didn't get the chance to attend yesterday, don't worry as we will be having our day two on 𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝟵 (𝙎𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙮)! We hope to see you there again!
