Good day everyone! We are the Project Mind-SET team and we are here to formally introduce ourselves to the public with our proposed alternative learning programs for the children of Alcoba, 3rd street, Salinas 1, Bacoor City, Cavite.

Our team consists of six college students, or ambassadors rather, currently studying at Unida Christian Colleges, located in Anabu 1-F, Imus City, Cavite with the courses Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English and Bachelor of Elementary Education major in General Education.

Alcoba is occupied by a large number of families; most of these families have children who, unfortunately, have slow reading, reading comprehension and writing, especially in English language, despite having the opportunity to attend a physical school. The area is isolated from the main city, and therefore, it was neglected. The CoronaVirus Disease 2019 (CoViD-19) has also been one of the main reasons behind their slow progress, although, with the help of one of our members, the rest of us are able to be informed about these problems and immediately caught our attention. The Bacoor Baptist Church has been conducting activities like bible teaching within the area for about 3 consecutive Saturdays already in the month of February, 2023. There are about 40 children who constantly attend the church's own program/s.

In partnership with the above-mentioned church, our project's main goal is to track, develop and enhance the children's reading and writing, whose ages range from 2 to 13 years of age in the area. Our team would be responsible for organizing programs every Saturday; reading, writing, etc. Along with the lesson proper, we would be promoting proper hygiene lessons while providing hygiene kits for the children's personal use. While our partnered church will continue with the bible lessons. Together with the church, we will also prepare food and snacks for the children.

We hope to see improvements along the way and at the very end among our target beneficiaries and achieve the goals we have set.
