HEAVY RAIN RIDING SAFETY TIPS & PROTOCOL
SAFETY FIRST — WALANG BIYAHE NA MAS MAHALAGA SA BUHAY.
🌧️ BEFORE THE RIDE
✅ Check weather and road conditions before leaving.
✅ Inspect tires, brakes, lights, horn, mirrors and wipers/visor.
✅ Wear a proper helmet with clear visibility.
✅ Use raincoat, waterproof gloves and proper riding gear.
✅ Secure your phone, wallet and other valuables in waterproof bags.
🏍️ DURING HEAVY RAIN
🔹 SLOW DOWN. Wet roads mean longer braking distance.
🔹 Keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front.
🔹 Avoid sudden braking, acceleration and sharp turns.
🔹 Avoid painted road lines, metal covers and slippery surfaces.
🔹 Watch out for potholes, debris, open manholes and flooded areas.
🔹 Keep your headlights ON for better visibility.
🔹 Never use your cellphone while riding.
🌊 FLOODING PROTOCOL
🚫 DO NOT RISK CROSSING DEEP OR FAST-MOVING FLOODWATER.
If you cannot clearly see the road surface, STOP AND FIND A SAFE HIGHER AREA.
⚠️ Never assume that a flooded road is passable. Hidden potholes, open drainage and strong currents can cause accidents.
🛑 WHEN VISIBILITY BECOMES TOO LOW
PULL OVER SAFELY.
Find a well-lit, elevated and secure location. Do not stop in the middle of the road, under unstable structures, or in areas prone to flooding.
👥 RIDERS CLUB GROUP PROTOCOL
1️⃣ Ride at a safe and manageable speed.
2️⃣ Maintain proper spacing between riders.
3️⃣ Do not pressure other riders to continue during dangerous conditions.
4️⃣ If one rider stops for safety, inform the group.
5️⃣ Use your group chat for location and safety updates.
6️⃣ In an emergency, prioritize helping the rider and contacting proper emergency services.
7️⃣ NO RIDE IS WORTH RISKING A LIFE.
💙 REMEMBER:
