The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program formally entered into a partnership with Kaanib Foundation Inc. through a ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held at the foundationโs headquarters in Sta. Ana, Impasugong, Bukidnon on August 14, 2025.
The partnership seeks to bolster the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) by engaging Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in extending services that go beyond cash grantsโfocusing on livelihood, employment, education, and health interventions to uplift the lives of household beneficiaries.
Under the MOA, DSWD XI commits to provide technical assistance, mentoring, and regular monitoring to ensure that the partnership aligns with program objectives and policies. The agency also emphasized its mandate to uphold transparency, accountability, and child protection in all collaborative undertakings.
The MOA also covers joint efforts in commemorating national observances such as the World Day Against Child Labor and National Childrenโs Month, and in integrating child labor awareness modules into Family Development Sessions (FDS) to strengthen parental involvement in child protection.
Anchored on Republic Act 11310 or the 4Ps Act, the agreement underscores the importance of strong collaborations between government agencies, NGOs, CSOs, and private institutions in ensuring the sustainability of gains achieved by families even after they graduate from the program.
This partnership signifies DSWD XIโs continuing commitment to foster meaningful collaborations that empower 4Ps households to become self-reliant, productive, and resilient members of their communities.
