Yesterday, BukSU Impasugong DRRM, in collaboration with NSTP, successfully conducted its Basic Life Support (BLS) and Blood Pressure (BP) Monitoring Training, providing students with vital emergency response skills essential for community preparedness and public safety.

The training offered students hands-on experience in performing CPR, assessing vital signs, and accurately monitoring blood pressure. Through guided demonstrations and return-demonstration activities, participants gained confidence in applying lifesaving techniques that can make a significant difference in real emergency situations.

This initiative underscores NSTPโ€™s ongoing commitment to equipping students not only with knowledge but also with practical competencies that foster responsibility, empathy, and a readiness to serve. The activity also strengthens the institutionโ€™s support for SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, emphasizing the importance of health literacy and preventive care in building resilient communities.

We extend our appreciation to the facilitators who shared their expertise and to the students who actively participated with enthusiasm and dedication. Your engagement reflects the true spirit of NSTP: service with purpose and preparedness with heart.

A meaningful step forward toward creating a healthier, safer, and more empowered BukSU Impasugong community. ๐Ÿ’šโœจ

A Meaningful and Enlightening Symposium on Safeguarding Our Environment and Building a Sustainable Future! ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’š

Last October 29, 2025, the NSTP students of BukSU Impasugong Campus participated in an inspiring symposium that focused on environmental protection and sustainability. The event served as a powerful reminder that even the smallest acts of care and responsibility can spark a ripple of change toward a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable community. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’ซ

Our deepest gratitude to Maโ€™am Mynelle Pia A. Dapanas, EMS I, for sharing her expertise, advocacy, and insights on environmental protection. Your message encouraged our students to become stewards of nature and to take meaningful actions in preserving our planet for future generations. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’ก

Special appreciation also goes to Ms. Jessamie L. Tomopong, NSTP Component Head, and Mr. Renante Jr. Silagan, NSTP Instructor, for spearheading this impactful initiative. Symposium on Republic Act 9165 โ€“ Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002
October 15, 2025

Last October 15, 2025, the National Service Training Program (NSTP) successfully conducted a Symposium on Republic Act No. 9165 โ€“ The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The activity was held at Bukdinon State University Impasugong Campus Dome and was attended by 140 NSTP students. The symposium aimed to enhance student awareness of the harmful effects of illegal drugs, strengthen their advocacy for prevention, and promote responsible citizenship in support of national anti-drug efforts.

The program formally opened with a welcome message from Jonah C. Balba, Guidance Designate, who emphasized the role of students as future nation-builders. After the preliminaries, the event proceeded with informative sessions led by the invited resource speakers: Mr. Teddy Jones Saliot and PMAJ Dominador Vergara Orate Jr.

Mr. Saliot discussed the key provisions of RA 9165, including preventive education, drug dependency intervention programs, and the legal consequences of drug-related offenses. He highlighted the negative impacts of drug abuse on individuals, families, and communities.

Meanwhile, PMAJ Dominador Vergara Orate Jr. shared law-enforcement insights and presented case examples and data related to drug operations and incidents. He encouraged the students to be vigilant and proactive in their support of efforts to maintain drug-free communities.

An open forum followed, where students actively engaged with questions on law enforcement procedures, rehabilitation programs, and youth involvement in prevention campaigns. The speakers addressed each inquiry, which helped deepen the studentsโ€™ understanding of the topic.

The event concluded with the awarding of certificates and a message of appreciation for the valuable contributions of the speakers and the active participation of the students. Overall, the symposium proved to be informative and impactful, achieving its objective of raising awareness and strengthening anti-drug advocacy among the youth.

Through this initiative, NSTP continued to uphold its commitment to promoting social responsibility and shaping responsible citizens who contribute to a safer and healthier society.

On May 28, 2025, the BukSU Impasugong NSTP Unit took part in a meaningful tree-growing activity at the Bukidnon State University Impasugong Campus. It wasnโ€™t just about planting trees it was about coming together as a community. Students, teachers all worked hand-in-hand to help make our environment greener and healthier.

The NSTP students showed real care for nature and what it means to be responsible citizens. They learned how trees help protect the soil and clean the air, making Impasugong a better place for all.

This event was made possible thanks to the support of the LGU Impasugong MENRO, led by Mr. Emanuel Lumoyod and his team, who provided the tree seedlings. Their help showed how strong partnerships between the university and the local government can lead to positive change.

This special day reminded us that even small actions can have a big impact. By planting trees, our students also planted hope for a greener, better future in Impasugong.
