Some evenings remind us why we gather—not just to serve, but to understand.

Last Monday, March 16, 2026, the Rotary Club of Midtown Iloilo had the privilege of listening to Dr. Eunice Sermonia, psychiatrist, who guided us through a meaningful talk: “Slow but Sure: Mental Health Across Generations.”

In a world that moves fast, her message was a gentle nudge—that healing, like service, is not a race. Each generation carries its own stories, struggles, and strengths. And sometimes, the most powerful thing we can offer is patience… and presence.

As Rotarians, we are reminded that caring for mental health is also a form of service—quiet, steady, and deeply human.

Because progress may be slow… but it is always worth it.

📚✨ Books have a quiet way of opening doors.

The Rotary Club of Midtown Iloilo, represented by Vice President Ismael “Mike” Bagonoc, turned over donated books to Lemery National High School—a meaningful project carried out together with the Interact Club of Midtown Iloilo. 🤝

The books were received by Dr. Abe Erazo, Principal III, and Mrs. Grace Sepanton, SSLG Adviser, whose dedication to education continues to guide and inspire their students. 🎓

Also in the photo are Interact President NJ Banes, together with Interact officers and members whose enthusiasm for service reminds us that the next generation of leaders is already in the making. 🌱

Because in Rotary, every book shared is more than a gift—it is an investment in minds, dreams, and the future.

Clean water is more than a necessity — it is dignity, health, and hope. 💧

This March, we join Rotary clubs around the world in celebrating Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Month. Every drop reminds us that small acts of service can create ripples of change in our communities.

Together, we can make clean water accessible for all — one project, one community, one life at a time.

Rotarian Kurt Maurice Tugaff has been appointed as one of the Liaison Officers for the ASEAN High Level Task Force on Economic Integration 2026 Meeting to be hosted in Iloilo City. 🌏🤝

As host city, Iloilo plays a central role in advancing the Philippines’ commitment to regional inclusivity and global engagement. The city serves as the diplomatic gateway for ASEAN leaders and delegates, showcasing Western Visayas’ economic strength, cultural heritage, and readiness to support high-level international engagements. With established venues such as the Megaworld Business Hub and a strong network of public and private sector partners, Iloilo stands as a model of a thriving regional hub capable of delivering a secure, organized, and globally competitive summit experience.

In his role, Tugaff serves as a vital link between the ASEAN National Organizing Council (NOC) and international delegates, ensuring that diplomatic protocols, coordination requirements, and summit engagements are smoothly and professionally facilitated.
