💙 FREE DIABETES SCREENING AT WATSONS 💙

Our sincere thanks to everyone who participated in our recently concluded FREE Diabetes Screening at Watsons!

Through the strong partnership between Watsons and Diabetes Philippines – Iloilo Chapter, we were able to bring essential health services closer to the community—providing blood sugar testing, blood pressure checks, and BMI assessment to promote early detection.

More importantly, this initiative reinforced the value of education and awareness in the fight against diabetes. Every screening is an opportunity to inform, empower, and encourage healthier choices.

The Diabetes Philippines – ILOGA Chapter successfully held its Monthly Membership Meeting last March 12, bringing together members committed to advancing diabetes awareness, education, and patient care in our community.

The meeting served as an opportunity to:
🔹 Discuss ongoing and upcoming programs of the chapter
🔹 Strengthen collaboration among members
🔹 Plan initiatives aimed at improving diabetes prevention and management in the region

🤝 Strengthening Partnerships for Diabetes Awareness

Diabetes Philippines – ILOGA Chapter proudly marks an important milestone through the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Region VI.

This partnership represents a shared commitment to enhance diabetes awareness, prevention, early detection, and management among Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) and BJMP personnel through coordinated programs, medical missions, and educational initiatives.

The ceremonial signing was led by Jhon D Montero, Regional Director of BJMP Region VI, and Ma Rosanna O Subade Junio, Chapter President of Diabetes Philippines – ILOGA Chapter.

Held at Midtown Hotel, the event highlights the power of collaboration in advancing health initiatives within correctional facilities and ensuring better health outcomes for underserved communities.

Through this partnership, both institutions reaffirm their commitment to promoting wellness, strengthening community partnerships, and transforming lives through education and healthcare access.
