What does true fellowship really mean? Is it just being together, or is it being there for one another?
Praise God for today’s message entitled “Fellowship is Not Words, But Action.''
In Exodus 17:8–16, we see how Moses needed help during the battle. When his hands became tired, Aaron and Hur stood beside him and held his hands up—one on each side—until the battle was won.
This reminds us that fellowship is more than simply being together. Fellowship is action. It means being willing to help, to carry one another’s burdens, to pray for each other, and to stand by one another when things become difficult.
Sometimes, we may think that fellowship is only about attending events, talking, or spending time together. But true fellowship goes deeper. It means noticing who needs help and being willing to do something about it.
We are reminded to bear with one another, pray for one another, and encourage one another. Just as Aaron and Hur helped Moses when he could no longer hold his hands up, we are also called to be there for our brothers and sisters when they are struggling.
Fellowship is not about asking, “What can I get from others?” but also asking, “Who needs my help? Who can I pray for? Whose burden can I help carry?”
Let us not only say that we care. Let us show it through our actions. Let us pray for one another, help one another, and stay together—not only when things are easy, but until the end.
Fellowship is not just words. Fellowship is action.
We stand together. We pray together. We carry each other.
