As the weekend comes to a close, the Jaro Archdiocesan Youth Commission and the Archdiocesan Youth Coordinating Council conclude a fruitful and productive gathering marked by prayer, dialogue, and collaboration.

Together, we shared ideas and insights for the continuing development of the JAYC Manual, strengthened our pastoral plans, and discerned concrete actions as we journey alongside the young people of the Archdiocese. This gathering reminded us that effective youth ministry is built on communion, shared vision, and a commitment to serve with faith, hope, and love.

As we move forward, may the seeds planted this weekend bear fruit in our parishes and communities, inspiring more young people to encounter Christ and actively participate in the life and mission of the Church.

Together, we journey beyond with our youth.

NOW HAPPENING | ARCHDIOCESAN YOUTH COORDINATING COUNCIL MEETING

The Archdiocesan Youth Coordinating Council Meeting is now underway at Bearland Resort, Tigbauan, Iloilo, bringing together parish youth coordinators, youth ministers, and representatives from across the Archdiocese to discuss pastoral initiatives, strengthen collaboration, and continue building a vibrant and mission-driven youth ministry.

United in faith and service, the council continues to foster collaboration, discern priorities, and strengthen the shared mission of accompanying the youth of the Archdiocese.

JAYC Monthly Meeting

The Jaro Archdiocesan Youth Commission, in collaboration with the Jaro Archdiocesan Commission on Liturgy, conducted a Basic Formation on Liturgy facilitated by Rev. Fr. Lester P. Villa.

The formation invited youth leaders to deepen their understanding of the Sacred Liturgy, recognizing it as the source and summit of the Church's life. More than learning the rites and symbols of the Mass, participants were encouraged to appreciate the Liturgy as a living encounter with Christ that nourishes faith, strengthens communion, and inspires a life of joyful discipleship.

May we continue to grow in our love for the Sacred Liturgy, allowing every celebration to deepen our faith and lead us closer to Christ.

WATCH: A week ago, we joyfully marked the 75th Diamond Jubilee of the Archdiocese of Jaro, gathering our clergy for the Synodal Implementation program — the heart of our movement in this jubilee milestone.

Today, we look back on the journey of our beloved archdiocese, founded 161 years ago, and reflect on how far we have come. In asking “Quid Nunc?” — “What now?” — we open ourselves to the gift of the Church, revealed through listening, dialogue, and discernment. These fruits shine forth in this year-long celebration of the Diamond Jubilee, a testament to the living faith of the Archdiocese of Jaro.
